The MBA placements 2023 at the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) have witnessed a notable increase in high salary packages. The recently published placement statistics indicate a rise in the average salary offered across all IIMs. The following section outlines the primary trends observed in the placement process at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM).

• The older Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) maintain their dominant position. The older Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) have maintained their prominent positions, exhibiting the highest average income figures in the Placements of 2023. IIM Calcutta has recorded the highest average pay of Rs. 35.07 LPA, followed by IIM Lucknow with an average salary of Rs. 32.20 LPA. IIM Kozhikode closely trails behind with an average salary of Rs. 31.02 LPA, while IIM Indore reports an average salary of Rs. 30.21 LPA. No other Indian Institute of Management (IIM) has achieved an average pay of Rs.30 LPA in placements.

• The newly established Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) have demonstrated a notable surge in  MBA placements when compared to their more established counterparts. For instance, IIM Sambalpur has recorded the greatest average income increase of 31.6%, surpassing other institutions. Similarly, IIM Bodhgaya has also had a significant rise in average compensation, with an increase of 29%. Both IIM Indore and IIM Jammu have had a significant increase of 21% in their average wage figures.

• IIM Ahmedabad to Release  MBA placements Data after IPRS Audit: IIM Ahmedabad follows IPRS standard and will release salary data after Audit in October, even after completing its placement 2023 as early as in February. IPRS initiative was taken by IIMs and other few top B-schools to release Placement data after Audit of Placement reports. IPRS standardizes the data on the placement reports more comparable and reliable.
