The National Testing Agency (NTA) gives the Common Management Admission Test (CMAT), which is a test of business skills, to people who want to get into MBA/PGDM courses. In India, the CMAT is one of the most popular tests for getting into MBA programmes. Every year, about 70,000 people try to pass it. Some of India’s best business schools, like Great Lakes Institute of Management, JBIMS, SIMSREE, KJ Somaiya Mumbai, Welingkar Mumbai, and PUMBA, accept CMAT scores. The CMAT question paper has 100 questions about Quantitative Techniques and Data Interpretation, Logical Reasoning, Language Comprehension, General Awareness, and Innovation and Entrepreneurship. CMAT has 400 points all together. The CMAT is given as a Computer-Based Test (CBT), and it takes three hours to finish.

CMAT Syllabus

The CMAT’s curriculum is the same as that of other MBA entrance exams. It covers Verbal Ability, Reading Comprehension, Data Interpretation, Logical Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, and General Knowledge. Innovation and Entrepreneurship is a subject that you can choose to take instead of these.

The best way to start studying for the CMAT is to start with the hardest topics. Once they’re done with the hard stuff, they should move on to the easier stuff. But the key is not to avoid easy topics in favor of hard ones. Don’t forget to study the things about which the most questions are asked.

Result: CMAT

The CMAT result for 2023 will be posted on the website. Using their login IDs, candidates can get a copy of their CMAT result cum scorecard. The NTA will also put out the merit list and all India ranks along with the results.

Here are the steps you need to take to get your CMAT scorecard cum result:

  • Go to the website for CMAT.
  • Click the tab that says “CMAT-2023 has been declared.”
  • Type in your CMAT 2023 log-in information (application number and password or date of birth)
  • Click “Submit” to get your CMAT scorecard.

Counselling

Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI), which are both parts of the CMAT counselling or admissions process, are run by B-Schools on their own. Colleges that accept the CMAT shortlist candidates for the GD-PI round based on how well they did on the test. Over 1,300 B-schools in India will let you in if you have a CMAT score for your MBA or PGDM.

The cut-offs and selection criteria for MBA admission are set by each school that accepts CMAT scores. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, most colleges have moved their PI rounds online since 2020. But now that the pandemic is mostly under control and the campuses are open again, the admission rounds may be done in person.

Books for CMAT

CMAT books are the best way to study for the test because they explain each topic and have sample questions of different levels of difficulty. Even though the CMAT curriculum is similar to that of other MBA entrance exams, the test is set up differently. So, people who want to take the CMAT exam should make sure to study from books that are recommended for it.

There are CMAT books on the market, and you can buy them both online and in person. So, people who want to take the CMAT in 2023 should get the best books for studying for the CMAT. The best book for getting ready for the CMAT is The Complete Reference Manual for CMAT by SK Sinha, S Satyanarayan, and JS Rana.

Previous Year Question Paper

Language Comprehension, Quantitative Techniques and Data Interpretation, Logical Reasoning, General Awareness, and Innovation and Entrepreneurship are the five parts of the CMAT Question Paper for 2023. The CMAT question paper has 100 multiple-choice questions (MCQs), with 20 MCQs from each section. In CMAT 2023, you have to take all five sections. There is no optional section. The CMAT exam is given at different times depending on how many people have signed up. Students studying for the next CMAT exam can download the slot-wise CMAT previous year question papers from 2022, 2021, 2020, 2019, and 2018 to practice.

Mock Tests

Mock CMAT tests are an important part of getting ready for the real test. Taking CMAT practise tests not only helps a candidate learn how to manage their time better, but it also shows them how to solve questions that require a lot of math quickly and correctly.

The best way to get ready for the national level entrance test is to take mock CMAT tests. The more CMAT practise tests you take, the better you get at reading long comprehension passages, figuring out which questions to try, noting the key points of a Logical Reasoning series, understanding a Data Interpretation table, and doing math calculations in the least amount of time.

The CMAT test in 2022 was easy to moderately hard. This year, each of the five sections of the CMAT 2022 question paper had 20 questions. About 60–70 questions is a good number to try. The English and LR parts were simple, but the GK part was hard. The section on quantitative techniques was not too hard, and the new section on innovation and entrepreneurship was easy.

Answer Key

A week before the results are announced, the NTA puts the CMAT answer key on the website for the test. The CMAT answer key is made up of the CMAT question paper and each person’s answer sheet. Using their login information, test takers can get the CMAT 2023 answer key from the website for the test. Here’s how to get the CMAT answer key for the year 2023:

  • Go to the website for CMAT-NTA.
  • Click on “Download CMAT 2023 Answer Key.”
  • Enter your application number and date of birth or your password.
  • Click on the link that says “Answer Key” on the dashboard.
  • Get the CMAT 2023 answer key here.

You can also challenge the official answer key through the NTA. Under this rule, any candidate can challenge the official answer key by filling out an online form and providing proof to back up their claim. If it turns out that the claim is true, the CMAT answer key will be changed. After the objections are looked at, the CMAT result and final answer key will be made.

Paper Analysis

On the day of the test, CMAT 2023 analysis will be available. The CMAT exam analysis will go into detail about how hard each section was, what kinds of questions were asked, what they were about, how many good attempts you had, and what the expected cutoffs were. Most of the time, the CMAT question paper is moderately hard and easier than other MBA entrance exams.

Details about the CMAT exam will be made public soon. Most likely, the test will be given at the end of March or the beginning of April. The CMAT 2023 question paper will be made by NTA to test candidates’ business and math skills as well as their ability to reason and understand English.

Preparation

If you want to take the CMAT in 2023, you need to start studying early so that you have enough time to cover everything you need to know. They must come up with a plan for studying for the exam, which should include:

  • Covering the CMAT curriculum
  • Sample papers and practise tests
