Cut-Offs: CMAT 2023

For admission to the next MBA class, the CMAT cutoffs for 2023 will be set by the colleges that are taking the test. Even though the NTA runs the test, it has no say in how the CMAT cut-off is set. The CMAT 2023 test will be given at the end of March or the beginning of April. In the last week of April, CMAT 2023 results will be made public. After the results are announced, admission to MBA programs based on CMAT 2023 cutoffs will begin.

The minimum score or percentile needed to get into an MBA program at a college that accepts CMAT scores is called the “CMAT cut-off.” For admission, candidates must meet the minimum CMAT cut-off percentile and pass the selection round at the school they want to go to. Every year, the top MBA schools that accept CMAT scores set their cutoffs between the 95 and 99 percentile.

Things that affect CMAT cut-offs

The cut-off percentiles for the CMAT are based on a number of things, such as how hard the questions were that year, how many students on average passed, etc. For admission to the MBA class of 2023, each participating school will set its own minimum CMAT 2023 cut-off score, taking into account the following:

  • Total number of people who will take the CMAT in 2023
  • Total number of available seats at the school
  • Total number of people who passed the CMAT in 2023
  • How hard was the CMAT question paper?

For MBA/MMS admission, all colleges and universities in Maharashtra that are part of MAH CET CAP accept CMAT scores. Students in the All India Category who want to join MAH CET CAP can apply with their CMAT score.

Frequently Asked Questions About CMAT Cutoff

Q. Which schools will let you in if you have a CMAT score?

Ans. More than 1,300 business schools in India take the CMAT score. Most of these B-schools use the same process to let people in, which is a group discussion and a personal interview.

Q. How will I know when the CMAT 2022 deadline is?

Ans. After the exam results are announced, CMAT-accepting schools will start to share their admissions requirements and CMAT cut-off scores. You might find these cut-off marks in the college’s admissions brochure or on its website.

Q. Does NTA say when the CMAT admissions cutoffs are?

Ans. No, the NTA does not say what the CMAT cutoffs are for getting into any school. Colleges that accept the CMAT set their own cutoffs based on things like the number of seats available, the pass rate, how hard the test is, etc. On the same basis, they pick students for the GD-PI round.

Q. What are the best MBA schools that accept CMAT scores?

Ans. XIME, Christ University, KIIT School of Management, DY Patil School of Management, and VIT Business School are all well-known MBA schools that accept CMAT scores.

Q. What if I don’t make the cutoff for my section?

Ans. In many schools that accept CMAT scores, meeting sectional cut-offs is not required. Before applying, candidates must check the admissions requirements and selection process of the school they want to go to. To have more options for admission, it is suggested that candidates pass sectional cut-offs on the exam.

Q. Are there different CMAT cutoffs for SC/ST candidates?

Ans. Yes, in many colleges, the cutoffs for SC/ST candidates are different from those for General category candidates. Before filling out the application form for admission, candidates must check the cut-off requirements of the school they want to attend.

Q. Does the CMAT score get you into IIMs?

Ans. No, the CMAT score is not accepted by the IIMs. They only take CAT scores. For candidates to get into IIMs, they must take the Common Admission Test (CAT), which is held in November.

Q. Does CMAT have a centralized process for getting into schools?

Q. How do I figure out what my CMAT 2023 score is?

Ans. Candidates can figure out their CMAT scores with the help of college predictors. The college predictor gives you a list of possible colleges you could get into based on how well you did on the CMAT percentile.
