The IIMB campus is on Bannerghatta Road in the southern part of Bangalore. It is more than 100 acres in size. From anywhere in the city, you can take public transportation to get there. As of June 2022, the Pink Line of the Namma Metro, which is still being built, will stop at IIM Bangalore.
The architect B. V. Doshi, who won the Pritzker prize, made IIM Bangalore. IIM Bangalore's design is based on the old city of Fatehpur Sikri near Agra and the temples of Madurai in Tamil Nadu. The 54,000-square-meter IIMB complex is made of granite stone, which gives the campus its style. The campus was first thought of in 1973, and it was finished in 1983. The academic blocks were made by architects from Stein, Doshi, and Bhalla, led by B. By 1983, V. Doshi and were done. As the number of students in the school grew, a few more blocks were added. It has a collection of 168,102 books, 373,53 brand volumes, 5375 working papers, 1130 theses, 12802 project reports, and so on.
IIMB's mess serves four meals a day, and there is a night canteen for people who have to work late on projects. Park n Eat, Amul, Athica's, and Au Bon Pain are some of the other places on campus where students can get tasty food.
IIMB has 16 hostel blocks, one executive block, and the MDC, or Management Development Center, which is where the executive housing is. The hostel has Internet access 24 hours a day, fully automatic washing machines, a hair salon, a music room, a student-run library, a recreation room, and a store. There are also services for doing laundry and ironing, an intercom, and a room for guests. Single occupancy in-campus hostel facilities are available for both boys and girls.
Soccer, cricket, tennis, basketball, volleyball, badminton, table tennis, and pool all have their places to play at IIMB. IIMB has a sports center with tennis and badminton courts, a swimming pool, and a gym for students to stay in shape, which will help them concentrate and focus on their coursework.
The institute has more than 600 PCs and workstations that can connect to the internet at any time. There is also WiFi everywhere on campus. IIMB is the only school with a campus that is completely Wi-Fi-enabled. You can use the Computer Center at any time. There are printers in both the computer center and the hostel blocks. High-speed Internet, an intranet with a lot of useful information, software that lets people share files, and an internal messenger make all work easier and faster.
