IIM Bangalore Scholarship Guidelines 2023

Specific rules and regulations should be followed while applying for IIM Bangalore Financial Assistance. They are:

Any PGP students whose household income is less than INR 800,000 per year are eligible to apply for financial aid. Those students experiencing serious financial hardships due to unforeseeable, sudden situations are also considered.

The Financial Assistance Committee uses a two-step procedure to determine the number of recipients and the amount of aid. In the first stage, students are assigned a financial status score based on four criteria: Annual Gross Household Income (including the student's income if he or she was employed prior to joining IIMB and any outstanding loans, provided they were not taken for conspicuous consumption), Household Savings, Real Estate Assets, and Other Assets. Some students are selected for a personal interview with a faculty panel based on this score. During these conversations, faculty panels assess the financial need of the student, ascertain the veracity of the student's application information, and issue a financial need score. Based on the weighted average of these two scores, applicants receive 100 percent, 80 percent, 60 percent, 40 percent, or 20 percent financial help.

The objective of the Financial Aid Policy at IIMB is to ensure that no student is deprived of education at the institute for financial reasons.
