Quick Updates about IIT Bombay Admission 2024

Students who are interested in applying can register for JEE Main 2024 Session 1 until November 30, 2023. Furthermore, the JEE Main 2024 for session 1 will be held between January 24 and February 1, 2024. The JEE Main Session 2 examination will be administered between April 1 and 15, 2024.

  • IIT Bombay has released the list of PhD students who were chosen for the Entrance Test and PI. The Civil Engineering department will have interviews on November 30 - December 1, 2023. The admission exam for Aerospace Engineering will be held on December 5. The Biosciences and Bioengineering admission exam and interview will be place on December 6th, 7th, and 8th, 2023. 
  • The highest national and global packages at IIT Bombay Placements 2023 were INR 3.7 crore and INR 1.7 crore, respectively. IIT Bombay students received a total of 300 PPOs, with an average salary of INR 21.8 LPA.
  • Admissions for the IIT Bombay-WashU Joint Degree Executive MBA Program are now being accepted. The ninth batch will begin in January 2024.
  • On November 26, 2023, the CAT 2023 Exam will be held. Registered applicants can obtain their admission cards from the IIMCAT website.
  • The GATE 2024 application correction window, administered by IISc Bangalore, has closed. The GATE 2024 exam will again be held on February 3, 4, 10, and 11, 2024.
  • The online registration session for IIT JAM 2024 has closed. On January 8, 2024, the IIT JAM 2024 Admit Card will be available for download online. Furthermore, the IIT JAM 2024 exam will be held on February 11, 2024.
  • The UCEED 2024 registration session has closed. In addition, the UCEED 2024 exam will be held on January 21, 2024 (9 a.m. - 12 p.m.).
  • The CEED 2024 registration session has closed. Furthermore, the CEED test 2024 will take place on January 21, 2024 (9 a.m. - 12 p.m.). 
  • The dates for the JEE Advanced 2024 exams have been announced. IIT Madras will host the JEE Advanced 2024 Exam on May 26, 2024. Aspirants can apply for the exam online at jee adv.ac.in between April 21, 2024, and April 30, 2024.

IIT Bombay Admission 2024 is based on national-level admission examinations for its various UG, PG, and PhD programs. Among all the courses available, the institute's flagship course is a four-year BTech program. Admission to this program is based on JEE Advanced scores, which are then followed by JoSAA counseling. After passing the JEE Mains Exam, candidates can sit for the JEE Advanced Exam. The JEE Mains registration 2024 is now open, and aspirants can apply through the official website. IIT Bombay Admission Process

The IIT Bombay application process differs for each course offered. For all courses, the procedure is the same:

  • BTech, BTech (Dual Degree), and BSc/ BS candidates must apply for JEE (Main) via the National Testing Agency's (NTA) official website (nta.ac.in). The application cost for boys is INR 625 and for girls, it is INR 325.
  • MTech applicants must register for GATE through the official GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS) website (appsgate.iitd.ac.in). The application cost is INR 1,500 for boys and INR 750 for girls.
  • Candidates who are applying for MSc must register for IIT JAM through the official website (iitr.ac.in). For one test paper, the application cost is INR 1,800 for others and INR 900 for females (all categories)/ SC/ ST/ PwD. 
  • Before submitting an application form to the institute, MDes candidates must apply for CEED. During the application procedure, candidates must also submit many supporting papers as well as an application fee. The application cost is INR 3,200 for boys and INR 1,600 for girls.
  • Candidates for MBA and PhD positions must apply through IIT Bombay's official website. Follow the instructions below:

IIT Bombay Undergraduate Admissions Procedure

  • Candidates must take and pass the JEE Advanced exam.
  • Students must take and pass the JEE Main and JEE Advanced exams.
