Q. To what extent do questions from classes 11 and 12 go towards the overall score on the JEE Main exam?

Ans. It is important for students to understand that the NTA does not prioritize one subject matter over another. Nevertheless, there are a few subjects that consistently feature in the questions answered. Students can look through papers from prior years to get an idea of the relative importance of different subjects on the exam.

Q. When preparing for the JEE Main exam, is it necessary for me to go over the full curriculum?

Ans. In order for students to have the best chance of doing well on their exams, it is recommended that they study the entirety of the curriculum. Because questions can be drawn from any of the areas included in the prescribed curriculum, it is in your best interest to study the material in its entirety if you want to do well on the exam.

Q. Will the curricula for the JEE Main 2023 exam and the JEE Advanced exam 2023 be the same or will they be different?

Ans. Applicants are cautioned to take note that the curriculum for the JEE Advanced exam is different from that of the JEE Main exam. There are a lot of subject areas that are included in the JEE Main syllabus but are absent from the JEE Advanced examination. This page provides access to the JEE Main syllabus in its entirety, so feel free to have a look.

Q. Does the syllabus for the JEE Main 2023 papers (Paper 1, Paper 2A, and Paper 2B) remain the same?

Ans. No. The curriculum for JEE Main Paper 1 (BE/BTech), Paper 2A (BArch), and Paper 2B are all distinct from one another (BPlan). JEE Mains Candidates have the option of either referring to this page or the official website of NTA JEE Main in order to review the whole syllabus for each examination paper.

Q. In the JEE Main 2023 examination, which of the following topics will be covered in Paper 1, Paper 2A, and Paper 2B?

Ans. The curriculum for the JEE Main Paper 1 covers concepts and chapters from the subjects of mathematics, chemistry, and physics that are taught to students in classes 11 and 12. Questions pertaining to mathematics, aptitude, and drawing are included on the JEE Main Paper 2 syllabus for the BArch programme. Questions based on planning, mathematics, and aptitude are included in the list of topics covered in Paper 2B for the B.Plan degree.

Q. Is the curriculum for JEE Mains 2023 going to be the same as that of CBSE Class 12?

Ans. The curriculum for JEE Main 2023 will be quite similar to the curriculum that CBSE uses for classes 11 and 12, but students will need to prepare for JEE Main using the curriculum that is prescribed by NTA.  JEE Mains Candidates are cautioned, however, that the difficulty level of the questions on the JEE Main examination is on par with that of the questions answered in classes 11 and 12.

Q. Will questions from Class 11 also be included in the JEE Main 2023 examination?

Ans. The topics included in the JEE Main syllabus are those from Classes 11 and 12. As a result, a significant number of chapters from physics, chemistry, and mathematics become equally important for both the Boards and the JEE Main Exam from both classes.

Q. What is the relative importance of each question in the JEE Main Kinematics section?

Ans. The chapter on kinematics is an important one not only because of the high weightage it carries but also due to the fact that many of the concepts discussed in this chapter are employed in other parts of the textbook on physics. JEE Mains Candidates need to demonstrate a strong conceptual understanding of kinematics.

Q. Which books are the most helpful to study for the topics that are included in the JEE Main syllabus?

Ans. To begin, the NCERT book is the one that is suggested the most. Students can prepare for their exams by reading the Arihant Publication book for mathematics, the HC Verma book for physics, or the OP Tondon book for chemistry.
