IIT Bombay Scholarship for Merit Cum Means

Merit Cum Means Scholarships are provided to students pursuing their B. Tech./B.Arch./Dual Degree., International M.Sc. This course is available at the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay. Merit Cum Academic Scholarship Qualification Criteria

The Department of Science and Technology established the IIT Bombay Scholarship Inspire Scholarship to allow students pursuing five-year integrated MSc degrees to apply for and receive yearly scholarship funding. IIT Bombay Scholarships of Need-Based SC/ST

  • The academic achievement of the candidates will determine who will receive the award.
  • The scholarship will only offset a portion of the tuition fee loan, and it will not be awarded until the necessary documentation of loan account payments is collected. Those who meet the requirements must submit a detailed application by the deadline set by the Scholarship Committee.
  • Candidates cannot submit applications beyond the deadline.  In the first round, complete submissions with all appropriate supporting materials will be considered.

Aditya Birla Group Scholarship

  • The Aditya Birla Scholarship covers the entire course and provides INR 65,000 per year to scholars. However, student performance is regularly evaluated to renew rewards each year.

Selection Procedure for the Birla Aditya Scholarship

Named Scholarship Portal

Named Scholarships­ The Office of the Dean Alumni & Corporate Relations maintains the Named scholarship endowed by Institute alumni and others. These scholarships are given out based on the following eligibility requirements:

  • Merit criterion: For new entrants of B.Tech., Dual Degree (B.Tech. + M.Tech.), B.S., and B.Des., their JEE AIR and UCEED Rank shall be the criterion. The criterion for succeeding years will be their academic performance during the previous academic year.
  • Means Criteria: The scholarship's requirement is based on parental income. Students are currently eligible to apply for Merit­cum­Means Scholarship if their parents' annual gross income from all sources for the previous fiscal year does not exceed Rs. 5,00,000/.

IT Support Scholarship

The Director, of IIT Bombay, in partnership with the generous alumni of IIT Bombay and the Dean ACR office, has devised a financial assistance initiative for economically disadvantaged students. General Scholarship and Financial Aid Requirements

IIT Bombay Scholarship for International Students

Scholarship from the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (Government of India)

Candidates interested in participating in this Fellowship Program must apply through the Indian High Commission/Embassy in their respective countries. They will forward the application to the ICCR, Government of India, who will subsequently forward the application/s to the Academic Office at IIT Bombay for evaluation. If the candidate is judged to be qualified for admission, an offer letter will be delivered to him/her via ICCR, New Delhi.

Scholarship for Study in India (SII) (Government of India)

The Study in India (SII) program has created a framework for meritorious students applying to Master's or Ph.D. programs at IIT Bombay to receive scholarships and tuition cost discounts.

ASEAN doctoral fellowship in India (DIA) (Government of India)

There is a particular plan for ASEAN academics to apply for PhD fellowships at IITs. The project intends to strengthen India's deep and historic ties with ASEAN countries.
