NIRF Management Rankings 2021

On September 9, 2021, Hon’ble Minister of HRD Shri Dharmendra Pradhan announced the NIRF Management Ranking 2021. IIM Ahmedabad has kept its top spot, followed by IIM Bangalore, which is ranked second. IIM Kozhikode has surpassed IIM Lucknow to take fourth rank, up from sixth previous year.

The release of NIRF Management Ranking 2021 was conducted virtually like last year.

Top 10 Gainers in NIRF Ranking 2021

1. IIM Kozhikode has improved its position and is placed at 4th position this year from 6th place last year.
2. DMS IIT Delhi has gone up by 3 places to capture 5th place this year, from the  8th place last year
3. IIM Indore moves up at 6th position this year from 7th last year
4. XLRI Jamshedpur has moved up to 8th position from 9th last year
5. IIM Raipur moves up at 15th position from 19th last year
6. IMI New Delhi has gained two places and is ranked at 26th position this year as against 28th  last year
7. IIM Shillong has moved up at 23rd position this year from 30th place last year

The National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) Ranking, conducted and compiled by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India, publishes a list of top universities and institutions in many categories. Overall, Universities, Engineering, Colleges, Pharmacy, Medical, Architecture, Dental, Management, Law, and Research are the categories in which institutes are rated. The NIRF Ranking Release procedure had already been postponed owing to the Corona Virus outbreak. Prior to 2020, the rankings were scheduled to be announced in April.
