The Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Jammu provides five management courses ranging from postgraduate to doctoral level, as well as two integrated courses. Admission to IIM Jammu's flagship MBA/PGP program is done using CAT. In addition to MBA-PGP, IIM Jammu accepts CAT scores for admission to its Executive MBA and PhD programs. Candidates seeking admission to the IIM Jammu IPM degree must take the NTA's Joint Integrated Programme in Management Admission Test (JIPMAT). In partnership with IIT Jammu, IIM Jammu also provides a dual degree program combining BTech and MBA.

IIM Jammu Admission is done through CAT/ GMAT/ GRE/ GATE/ NET/ JRF. Aside from the MBA curriculum, IIM Jammu also provides an Executive MBA program. Candidates with a bachelor's degree and three years of work experience can apply. IIM Jammu accepts 120 students for the 5-year Integrated Program in Management (IPM). The admission policy for IPM admission 2023 has also been announced by the institute. Students interested in applying must take the JIPMAT exam. A merit list will be produced for the final selection based on JIPMAT results, academic profile, and gender diversity.

IIM Jammu Admission Procedure 

To advance to the next level of admissions, students must take the CAT exam and meet the required cutoff, like with all other IIMs. Candidates with perfect CAT scores can attend the institute via one of two routes:

 CAP Round

The Common Admission Process is co-hosted by 9 IIMs (IIM Jammu, IIM Bodhgaya,IIM Kashipur,IIM Raipur,IIM Ranchi,IIM Sambalpur,IIM Sirmaur,IIM Trichy, and IIM Udaipur). A personal interview is conducted in this round, and the results of the PI round are used by all nine IIMs.

SAP Round

Candidates who do not receive a call in the CAP round may be considered for the SAP round, which is jointly conducted by IIM Jammu and IIM Bodh Gaya. Both IIMs conduct a Personal Interview (PI), and the PI scores are used.

Under the general category, female candidates

  • The overall cut-off percentile level for eligibility for the Personal Interview (PI) process is 85, with sectional cut-offs of 75 percentile.
  • Even if an overall CAT percentile of 85 or higher is obtained, there is no guarantee of a call.
  • The final list of candidates to be summoned for the Personal Interview (PI) procedure will be determined entirely on merit and in accordance with the norms of IIM Jammu.

Criteria for the IIM Jammu Merit List

The merit list at IIM Jammu, like those of other IIMs, is determined by a number of variables and subfactors. Each factor is assigned a score, and the total score is calculated by adding each factor as follows:

Candidates with a bachelor's degree in any discipline may apply for the MBA and MBA (HA&HM) programs. The MBA application process consists of the following stages:

MBA Selection Criteria at IIM Jammu

The MBA program at IIM Jammu is divided into two levels. The first stage is to shortlist candidates for personal interviews based on the minimal cut-off, and the second stage is to prepare the final merit list.

Selection Criteria for IIM Jammu MBA: PI Shortlisting 

The students are shortlisted for the personal interview based on two factors. The first is the CAP cut-off, while the second is the SAP cut-off. Candidates who score higher than the minimum cut-off in CAP or SAP will be called in for a personal interview.
