Presidency University Bangalore courses for the academic year 2023–2024 are open to admission.

Presidency University Admission 2023 has been started and it will be based on merit and entrance exam results. For admission to particular programmes, the university accepts scores from national or state-level entrance tests such the KCET, MAT, XAT, CAT, or CMAT.

For admission to select degrees, Presidency University also administers its own entrance exams, such as the Presidency's Design Entrance Test (PDET) and Presidency University Law Admission Test (PULAT).

The Presidency Group of Institutions (PGI) is made up of 7 Schools and a College and University. In addition to undergraduate and graduate programs in computer technology, business, management, and journalism offered by the institution, the colleges also offer National and International Boards of Studies. NAAC has renewed its 'A+' accreditation for Bengaluru's Presidency College.

Presidency University Admission Process

The Presidency University application process is now entirely online. In the necessary Application Form, you must provide all pertinent academic and personal data. The application form will also ask applicants to provide their personal contact information, educational background, employment history, and extracurricular activities and extracurricular endeavors.

  • Applications are examined for basic eligibility, academic standing, and other factors of the applicant's appropriateness for the course of interest. Within 15 working days of receiving an application, the admissions committee replies and sends:
  • ·A letter of acceptance, a request for an extra written exam and/or interview if the admissions committee considers the applicant needs more information, or
  • A letter of regret in the event that admission is denied
  • Email is used to convey any choices. For our answer, please verify your email address (as specified in the application form). A formal offer of admission, issued by courier, is also sent after the email when admission is granted to chosen candidates.

Presidency University MBA Admission

Presidency University MBA Admission 2023 will be based on entrance exams such as PGCET, CAT, XAT, MAT, CMAT, ATMA, or KMAT.

The applicant for admission to the MBA program must have earned a degree from an accredited university with a minimum aggregate score of 50% on the Qualifying Examination. For candidates in the SC/ST and other Reserved Categories, a minimum cumulative score of 45% is necessary.

Presidency University Ph.D. Admission

The Ph.D. Program (full-time or part-time) at Presidency University is accepting applications from qualified applicants in the fields of engineering, business, management, science, and the humanities.

Research Fellowship:

Meritorious full-time scholars are eligible for a Presidency University Research Fellowship up to Rs. 20000 per month for the first two years and Rs. 24000 per month for the third year.

Annual Fee Concessions:

outstanding scholars are eligible for fee reductions of up to 30% of the yearly fee.

Presidency University Ph.D. Eligibility Criteria: -

A Master's degree or a professional degree that has been declared by the relevant statutory or regulatory body to be equivalent to the Master's degree, with a strong academic record and at least 55% of the total marks, or its equivalent grade of "B" on the UGC 7-point scale (or an equivalent grade on a point scale wherever the grading system is used).

OR

An M.Phil. degree with a minimum cumulative grade point average of 55%, or the equivalent grade of "B" on the UGC 7-point scale for the M.Phil. program's coursework.

Presidency University Ph.D. Selection Method:

There are two phases to the selection process:

Stage 1:

Entrance Exam: The University will administer a Ph.D. entrance exam to all of India. To be eligible for the interview or viva-voce, applicants must get a minimum of 50% of the possible points overall, or the minimal equivalent grade as determined by the university in the admission exam.

Stage 2:

Interview/Viva-Voce: After passing the entrance exam, candidates must appear before a panel of interviewers from the relevant department (chosen by the Chairman, R&IC). The candidate will be evaluated based on the following standards throughout the interview/viva-voce process:

B.TECH Program (Regular) A candidate for the M.TECH program must hold a bachelor's degree (B.E./B.Tech) or equivalent in engineering from an Indian university or a foreign institution accredited by the UGC or AIU, with a minimum cumulative GPA of 50%. SC/ST and other Reserved Category applicants must have a minimum cumulative score of 45%. Candidate must have taken any admission test at the national, state, or Presidency University entrance examination PGCET, GA (Lateral Entry) 
B.TECH Program (Lateral Entry) For admission to B.Tech Programs (Lateral Entry), a candidate must have passed any diploma examination or equivalent examination with a minimum cumulative score of 60%. The candidate should have taken any admission test at the state level. 
M.TECH. ProgramPass the pre-university, higher secondary, or 10+2 examination from an accredited board with a minimum overall grade point average of 45% (40% for applicants who fall under the reserved category). Appeared for the PULAT (Presidency University Law Admission Test), LSAT / CLAT exams. The maximum age for applicants is 20 years old as of the first day of July in the admissions year (22 years for applicants who fall under the Reserved Category).
B.COM ProgramsA minimum of 50% overall in the 10+2 or an equivalent test from any recognized board is required for candidates seeking admission to the B.Com program.
B.SC. – EconomicsCandidates for admission to the B.Sc. Economics program must have passed the (10 + 2)/PUC or an exam of an equivalent level with a minimum of 50% overall 
BA LLB (Hons)/BBA LLB/BCOM LLB Pass the pre-university, higher secondary, or 10+2 examination from an accredited board with a minimum overall grade point average of 45% (40% for applicants who fall under the reserved category). LLM- Intellectual Property/LLM – Technology Law A candidate for admission to the B.Sc. The multimedia program must have earned at least 50% of the possible aggregate marks in the 10+2 or PUC or equivalent exams. 
MBA programThe applicant for admission to the MBA program must have earned a degree from an accredited university with a minimum aggregate score of 50% on the Qualifying Examination. For candidates in the SC/ST and other Reserved Categories, a minimum cumulative score of 45% is necessary. Candidate must have taken one of the following entry exams for presidency universities: PGCET, CAT, XAT, MAT, CMAT, ATMA, or KMAT
BBA & BBA (Aviation) ProgramsA candidate seeking admission to the BBA and BBA (Aviation) programs must have earned at least a 50% overall marks average in their 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized board. 
B.DES ProgramCompleted a BCA/Bachelor of Science in Engineering in Computer Science or an equivalent degree (OR) passed a B.Sc., B.Com., or B.A. with mathematics at the graduate or 10+2 levels. Gotten at least 50% on the qualifying exam, or 45% on the exam for applicants in the reserved category.The applicant must have taken one of the PGCET, KMAT, or other presidency university entry exams at the national, state, or regional level. 
B.Sc. – MultimediaIn order to be considered for admission to the B.DES program, a candidate must have successfully completed the Pre-University/Higher Secondary/10+2 examination with a grade of at least 45% in the Arts, Commerce, or Science stream, or 40% in the case of candidates from the SC/ST and other Reserved Categories like Category -1 and OBC (2A, 2B, 3A, and 3B) from Karnataka. The applicant must have taken an admission test for a presidency university, such as the UCEED 
BCAA candidate seeking admission to the BCA program must have earned at least 50% of the possible points in their 10+2 or equivalent test from a recognized board. 
B.Sc. Data ScienceCandidates for admission to the B.Sc. in Data Science program must have completed the 10+2 or PUC or an equivalent exam, with Mathematics or Statistics as one of the courses, with a minimum of 50% overall
MCACompleted a BCA/Bachelor of Science in Engineering in Computer Science or an equivalent degree (OR) passed a B.Sc., B.Com., or B.A. with mathematics at the graduate or 10+2 levels. Selection Criteria For B.Tech And M.Tech Program

  • In addition to the regular qualifying requirements, candidates must take the Presidency University, Bengaluru evaluation test.
  • Additionally, candidates must show up for the personal interview procedure.
  • The admissions committee also takes into account academic and extracurricular records.

Selection Criteria For BA LLB (HONS)/BBA LLB/BCOM LLB

  • Students must take and pass one of the national-level entrance exams. LSAT or CLAT
  • Students may also take the Presidency University Law Admission Test (PULAT), an entrance exam for scholarships.
  • After the entrance exam, candidates must show up for a personal interview.
  • Records from extracurricular activities and school will be given equal weight.

Presidency University MBA Selection Criteria

  • Candidates must show up in person or through Skype for the personal interview process, which consists of an oral extempore presentation and a personal interview.

Presidency University  B.Des. Selection Criteria

Every applicant must successfully complete both Phases of the admission exam in order to receive a fair assessment of their potential, aptitude, and capacity to enroll in the B.Des program.

Phase 1

  • During this stage, applicants must submit a STATEMENT OF PURPOSE using our online submission form.
  • The reason this is the most significant portion of the entrance exam is that you, as an applicant, will make your first impression here by describing who you are, why you are applying for this specific school, why you are a strong fit, and what your future aspirations are.

Phase 2

Phase 2 will take place on Bengaluru University's campus. The three rounds that make up this portion of the entrance exam are listed below.
