Frequently Asked Questions About TISSNET Exam Dates
Q. In what location will the PIT and PI rounds take place?
Ans. The TISSNET conference will be held in forty various cities and towns across the United States. The Personal Interview (PI) and Pre Interview Test (PIT) for programmes that are offered in Mumbai, Tuljapur, BANYAN, and Chennai will be held at the Mumbai Campus. The PIT and PI will take place on the respective campuses of Hyderabad and Guwahati for any programmes that are offered at those locations. Participants in the PIT and PI who are applying to programmes offered at more than one institution will be required to visit these locations. All participants in the NET and PIT/PI who are not eligible candidates from the SC/ST categories are responsible for covering their own travel, hotel, and food expenses in order to participate in the examinations.
Q. Is it possible for me to adjust the date of my PIT or PI?
Ans. If the date of the PIT and PI at TISS coincides with the date of the admission test of another institution or the date of the candidate’s final year examination, a modification in the dates for the PIT and PI may be considered. However, the candidate is required to provide substantiating documentation for this claim. Please take note that the new date for PIT and PI will still fall solely within the range of the time schedule that was previously stated by TISS.
Q. Essays or interviews—which do you think is more important for scoring well on the TISSNET?
Ans. Make it a goal to get the highest possible score in each category. Pick the one you’re best at and focus on it. Even though PIT will be far more important in the long run, TISSNET should never be ignored. If you are well prepared for the interview, it will be the most beneficial to your score.
Q. What kind of selection process does TISS use to make its decisions?
Ans. The technique for selecting candidates consists of two stages and three distinct assessment components. On the basis of the candidate’s performance on the exam, the National entrance examination (TISSNET) is administered; however, only the candidates who are shortlisted are invited to participate in the Pre Interview Test and Personal Interview (PIT/PI).
Q. After the final merit list has been compiled, what process will be used to assign seats?
Ans. The merit list will be generated based on merit as well as the preferences that candidates specify while they are filling out the online application form (Kindly Indicate your preferences carefully as it has implications for the merit list).
