TISSNET: Eligibility Criteria
Before filling out the application form, candidates are required to complete all of the educational qualification requirements as well as any other necessary instructions that are outlined in the TISSNET eligibility criteria. TISSNET Eligibility Criteria 2023 – Bachelor’s Programs
TISSNET Educational Qualification: Candidates should have completed class 10+2 or equivalent from any recognized state/ central board syllabus. Candidates who have completed their 10+2 grade and are waiting for their results can also apply for the exam.
The eligibility requirements for the TISSNET test have been made public by the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (commonly known as TISS). Before filling out the TISSNET application form, candidates who are interested in gaining admission to the MBA program (M.A. in Human Resource Management) are required to first review the comprehensive eligibility requirements. In the event that a candidate is unable to satisfy the requirements that have been established, their application will be disqualified, and no complaints will be considered about this matter.
Educational Qualification is One of the Requirements to Be Eligible for TISSNET
The candidates are required to have finished a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree that lasted a minimum of three to four years or its equivalent (the obligatory requirement of 15 years of formal education) from a recognized institute that was recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) of India.
Candidates who, by October 31, 2023, will have successfully fulfilled the TISSNET eligibility criteria in every regard, as well as all of the requirements of their final year eligible degree, will be entitled to apply.
Candidates who will be eligible to apply but will not be able to submit the required degree certificates and mark sheets at the time of admission are required to submit the documents by October 31, 2023. If they do not submit the documents by this date, their provisional admission will be canceled without any further reference to the candidate. Under no circumstances will there be any further extensions to the deadline that are permitted.
When applying to the Master of Arts program at TISS, candidates who are currently enrolled in a degree program that takes three years must have received passing grades in all of their topics from the first through the fourth semesters. Candidates for the degree that takes four years to complete are required to have a perfect grade point average in all disciplines from the first to the sixth semesters.
Provisional admission will be granted to candidates up until the required degree certificates and mark sheets are turned in as evidence of having satisfactorily completed the requirements for eligibility.
In order to complete the selection process, the information that was supplied in the TISSNET application form will be used.
On the day of the planned interview, those applicants who were shortlisted for the personal interview will be needed to present the original copies of their certificates and mark sheets in order to move on to the next phase. Candidates who are currently enrolled in the capstone year of their qualifying degree program will be asked to submit the mark sheets from the prior semester. Candidates who do not bring the relevant documents to the personal interview will not be given the opportunity to participate in the interview.
The Maximum Age Requirement to Participate in TISSNET
There is no maximum age requirement to submit an application for the TISSNET exam. It does not matter what age applicants are when they submit their application to TISS for the MA program.
Registrations for the TISSNET System
The TISS website serves as the location for all online TISSNET registrations. Applicants who are interested in taking the TISS National Entrance Test are required to fill out an application form. Candidates are required to first generate the login credentials and pay the application cost before they can fill out the entirety of the application form.

Policy for TISSNET Reservations in 2023
The Government of India has established a number of reservation regulations, all of which must be adhered to by the authorities in charge of the examinations. The TISSNET reservation policy differs slightly amongst the various TISS campuses. The TISSNET 2023 Reservation Policy is outlined below for your convenience:
For TISS Mumbai, Tuljapur, and Hyderabad Campuses
10% of the seats will be set aside for those who fall within the Economically Weaker Section (EWS).
15% of the seats will be set aside for people who belong to the Scheduled Castes (SC).
There will be a reservation of 7.5% of the seats for members of the Scheduled Tribes.
Other Backward Classes, also known as “non-creamy layers,” will have 27% of all available seats reserved for them.
For Individuals with Disabilities (PwD – Supernumerary Quota): Five percent of available seats are set aside for individuals with disabilities. There are three different types of disability, which are as follows: Low-vision/blindness, Disabilities in hearing, Cerebral palsy, and other forms of mobility impairment
As per the directives of the Government of India, there would be reserved seating for Kashmiri migrants.
For the Armed Forces: Reservation of 5% seats (supernumerary quota) for the children and widows of personnel from the Armed Forces or Paramilitary Forces who were killed or crippled in action during the wars, in the following priority:
Widows and children of defense personnel and paramilitary personnel who were killed in combat receive priority one treatment.

Wards of serving Defense People and handicapped ex-servicemen and Paramilitary personnel are given Priority II status. Priority III is given to families of deceased service members. Widows and children of defense personnel and paramilitary personnel who passed away in peacetime as a direct result of their involvement in military service make up Priority III. Required Documentation An original death certificate with a distinct notation that the decedent passed away as a direct result of their service in the military.
Wards of Defense Personnel and Paramilitary Personnel who are disabled in peacetime and have a disability that is due to their time in the military. Required Documentation An original disability certificate that makes it abundantly evident that the disability is a direct result of having served in the military.
Wards of serving Defense Personnel and Ex-servicemen Paramilitary/Police Personnel who are recipients of Gallantry Awards are given priority under the fifth category. Proof in its original form is Required for the Certificate.
Wards of Defense Retired Service Members is the sixth priority. Documentation such as an original ex-identity servicemen’s card, discharge book, or PPO is required (Pension Payment Order).
Protecting Active Duty Members of the Defense Personnel is the Seventh Priority. Original Service Identification Cards and Dependent Cards or Certificates, both issued by the Competent Authority, are required for this certificate.
