Candidates seeking admission to the PGDM programs offered at IMI must satisfy the qualifying requirements outlined below.

Elective Courses: 

The second-year curriculum is structured to allow students to focus on certain areas of interest. As a result, students will be able to focus on developing their skills in whatever functional area most interests them.

Scholarships and Rewards

The institution provides provisions for offering the following scholarships and awards to distinguished performance.

Pre-Admission Scholarships*

  • Merit Scholarship: Up to Rs. 1 lakh for applicants having a first-class career and securing at least 80 percentile in CAT/XAT/CMAT and at least 80 percent in GMAT
  • Merit scholarship for women candidates: 20 percent additional merit scholarship for female applicant fulfilling the above-mentioned criteria
  • Defense personnel: Wards of defense personnel are eligible for a scholarship of Rs. 50,000. Wards of Martyr’s are eligible for a scholarship of Rs. 1,00,000

Only one of the pre-admission scholarships indicated above may be used. The first half of the scholarship will be distributed at the conclusion of the first year, followed by the second half at the end of the second year. A applicant may choose between a tuition fee waiver and a pre-admission scholarship. The decision of the Scholarship Committee is final and binding on all candidates.

Post-Admission Scholarships

Merit scholarships are awarded for outstanding cumulative academic performance. Summer internship scholarship is awarded to emphasize the seriousness of summer internships and encourage the students to put in their maximum effort.

Fellow Programme In Management (FPM)

The AICTE-approved Fellow Programme in Management (FPM) at IMI Bhubaneswar aims to provide potential scholars with an academic environment in which to question conventional thinking and urge them to broaden the frontiers of current thought into a new world of knowledge and understanding. IMI Bhubaneswar FPM research researchers are required to follow a rigorous interdisciplinary approach to deliver novel works of theoretical and application-oriented research with far-reaching ramifications.

Course Structure & Curriculum

At IMI Bhubaneswar, the trimester approach is implemented. Students participating in the Fellow Programme in Management (FPM) must complete a difficult two-year academic load unless a one-year exemption is granted. The IMI Bhubaneswar Research Aptitude Test is waived for candidates with valid CAT/GMAT/GRE/UGC NET/CSIR/NBHM marks.

Eligibility

The applicant must be a post-graduate or its equivalent with a minimum of 60% in aggregate marks or any other professional qualification such as CA, ICWA, CS etc. with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks.

Scholarships and Stipends

  1. Full-time applicants are eligible for a limited number of scholarships from IMI Bhubaneswar. At the time of admission, successful applicants are only needed to pay a one-time cost of Rs. 62,000/- (a non-refundable Registration Fee of Rs. 25,000, a lifetime Alumni fee of Rs. 12,000, and a refundable Security Deposit of Rs. 25,000). If an applicant fails to finish the program, the Rs. 25,000 Security Deposit will be lost.
  1.  A NET-qualified FPM scholar will get a monthly stipend of Rs. 30,000 for two years and Rs. 35,000 for another two years. Those who are not NET-qualified will get a stipend upon passing the Comprehensive Examination. A stipend will be paid at the conclusion of each three-month period. In the future, the student's development will be evaluated every three months, and the choice on the distribution of incentives for the following three months will be dependent on the student's performance during the previous three months. The candidate's guide will certify if the candidate's performance over the last three months has been good or unsatisfactory.
  1.  Above stipend will only be disbursed when FPM Scholar is not working anywhere.
  1. FPM Scholar will also be working as Teaching/Research Assistant at IMI Bhubaneswar.
  1. In addition to the monthly stipend, qualifying applicants will receive a Contingency Allowance of Rs. 25,000 per year (for a maximum of 4 years) to cover research expenditures, book expenses, photocopying, etc. Students are eligible to receive up to Rs.50,000/- (maximum) for attending conferences/workshops/summer school throughout their whole FPM scholarship duration.
  1. FPM Scholars will get a research incentive of Rs. 30,000 upon publication in a SCOPUS or Web of Science journal with IMI Bhubaneswar affiliation. The grant will not be awarded without DOI.

IMI Bhubaneswar Scholarships 2022-2024

 IMI Bhubaneswar provides merit-based scholarships to outstanding individuals.

 IMI Bhubaneswar, tuition price for the FPM program is waived for qualified students, and a stipend of Rs 20,000 per month is provided for the first two years, increasing to Rs 25,000 per month upon completion of course work. The stipend is paid at the conclusion of each three-month period.
