CAT 2023 Notification: Important Dates

• First date of online registration: August 2, 2023
• Last date of online registration: September 13, 2023
• Admit card release date: October 25, 2023

According to the official material on the CAT 2023 release, the registration process for all interested students will begin on August 2.

Registration will open on August 2 at 10 a.m. and close on September 13 at 5 p.m. Candidates must properly finish their applications before the deadline in order to be considered for the exam.

It is important to keep in mind that the CAT 2023 test will be administered in three sessions on November 26. Admission test admission cards will be sent to all registered candidates on October 25.

The test schedule for the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2023 was issued today by the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Lucknow. The whole itinerary may be seen on the official website, iimcat.ac.in.

Candidates will be able to register for CAT 2023 from August 2 (10 am) until September 13 (5 pm), according to the official notification. On November 26, three sessions will be held, and admit cards will be available from October 25 (5 pm).

The duration of the test will be 120 minutes. It will have the following three sections:

• Section 1: Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension
• Section 2: Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning
• Section 3: Quantitative Ability

Candidates will be given precisely 40 minutes to answer questions in each session, and they will not be able to transfer between sections while completing questions in one. The CAT 2023 exam will be administered in around 155 test cities. Candidates will be able to choose any six test cities in the order of their choosing.

For SC, ST, and PWD candidates, the registration fee is Rs 1200, while for all other candidates, it is Rs 2,400. It is necessary to pay the non-refundable fee only once, even if the candidate is applying to multiple institutions.

The CAT 2023 results will most likely be revealed in the second week of January 2024.

This year's exam convenor is Professor Sanjeet Singh, Chairperson of Admissions. The admission test was held last year at the Indian Institutes of Management (IIM)-Bangalore. Registration for CAT 2022 began in the first week of August, with applicants allowed until September 14 to complete the application forms. However, the deadline has been pushed out until September 21.

CAT 2023 Eligibility Criteria

The application form for the CAT examination in 2023 is scheduled to be released on August 2, 2023. It is important to note that only eligible candidates will have the opportunity to submit their applications. Therefore, it is essential that each candidate have a comprehensive understanding of the eligibility criteria and adequately prepare accordingly.

• In order to be eligible, applicants must possess a bachelor's degree in any field and achieve a minimum score of 50% in the General and NC-OBC categories. The minimum required score for candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Persons with Disabilities (PWD) categories is 45%.
• Final-year undergraduate candidates may also take the examination, with the aim of attaining the requisite marks for graduation. Candidates who neglect to provide this information throughout the admissions process will face the consequence of having their admission rescinded.
• The CAT 2023 program does not impose any age restrictions, allowing those who satisfy the aforementioned criteria to be eligible and encouraged to submit their applications.
• Individuals who possess professional degrees such as Chartered Accountant (CA), Company Secretary (CS), or Cost and Works Accountant (ICWA) are also deemed qualified to participate in the Common Admission Test (CAT).
