MBA programmes are available in a variety of formats, including full-time, executive, online, and distance learning.

To be eligible to apply for an MBA, a student must have earned an overall Bachelor's degree in any track with a minimum of 50% to 55%.

Entrance tests like the CAT, XAT, MAT, GMAT (for students choosing an MBA Program overseas), MAH MBA CET, etc. are used to determine admission to MBA programmes. These exams are then followed by a round of group discussions and a personal interview that serves as a personality test.

While ordinary MBA course costs at different universities can range from INR 12,00,000 to INR 24,00,000, MBA fees at prestigious colleges like IIMs may go up to INR 30,00,000. The cost of an MBA course will vary depending on the college, specialisation, style of study, and services (accommodation, etc.) selected.

The typical income of a candidate with an MBA will change depending on how many years of experience they have in the profession. An MBA holder with five years of experience may earn up to INR 8,00,000 a year, whereas someone with ten years of experience might earn up to INR 14,00,000. The package an MBA holder received during college placements, which may also vary up to INR 20,00,000 per year, would also affect the average pay for an MBA holder.
