Nalanda University Scholarship

Nalanda University Scholarship Programme includes Under this scheme, two students were given full scholarships to attend Rajgir, Bihar's Nalanda University. The students must submit a separate application for admission to Nalanda University and transmit a copy of that application, along with any other supporting materials, to the Indian Embassy via the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA). The selection is carried out independently by Nalanda University in accordance with their policies. There are now five scholarships available at Nalanda University, up from two prior to the August 2019 visit of the Indian Prime Minister to Bhutan. Because of this, starting with the 2019–2020 school year, the Embassy will distribute scholarships to five Bhutanese students based on their academic achievement (from among those who are selected and offered admission offers by Nalanda University).

Scholarship awarded on Merit basis at Nalanda University :-

  • The Merit Scholarship comes with tuition price waivers for the applicable semesters.
  • Merit scholarships will only be available to the top students. The Merit scholarship is available to top students with a grade point average of 7.5 or better.
  • One top student each school may receive the Merit scholarship.
  • The scholarship will begin in the second semester.
  • Scholarships will be awarded to students in the upcoming semester with the highest grade point averages (SGPA).

Scholarships awarded on Mean cum Merit basis at Nalanda University :-

  • Scholarships for students who are economically disadvantaged include tuition fee waivers.
  • The recipients of this award will be those who can show documentation of a low household income.
  • Individuals who make less than INR 3 lakh ($6,000) a year are eligible to apply for financial aid.
  • Regardless of the kind of financial aid requested, all applicants must provide the supporting evidence listed below.

Nalanda University International Scholarship programmes :-

The Ministry of External Affairs of the Government of India has awarded six scholarships per academic year under the ASEAN-INDIA Fund for students from the CLMV (Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, and Vietnam) countries who aspire to attend Nalanda University for their graduate studies. CLMV has already provided financing to 12 students for the academic years 2015–2017.

For students from Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, and Vietnam who want to continue their education at Nalanda University, there are six scholarships available. However, only two students from one country may submit an application for a scholarship.

The application process for the scholarship is Cambodian, Laotian, Myanmarese, and Vietnamese students may submit their applications for the scholarship directly to the Indian Mission in each of their respective countries, or through the Nalanda university admissions official website.

Where as for Bhutanese under studies Nalanda University Scholarship ways The "Aid to Bhutan Fund" of the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, offers two scholarships for students from Bhutan. There are various fellowships that are distributed by the Indian Embassy in Bhutan. The Nalanda University Scholarship for the years 2015–2017 has already helped six scholars. There are two slots of scholarship or fellowship available for Bhutanese students who wish to continue their education at Nalanda University.
