What is the CAT Form Last Date? - CAT 2023 registration has been extended until September 20, 2023. Candidates can now submit their application forms by September 20 at 5:00 p.m. Before, the deadline to submit the CAT form 2023 was September 13. Candidates must register and fill out the application form on the official website of IIMCAT. As the CAT 2023 application form is also used by the IIMs, candidates should not miss the CAT Form last date 2023.

In the CAT 2023 application form, candidates also have to select preferred IIMs for getting shortlisted for Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI) round. Candidates who submit their CAT 2023 application within a window beyond 45 days will be considered equally in the allocation procedure for both Test Centre and Test session. It is anticipated that the examination format will be consistent with that of the previous year, with the examination being administered in three sessions, as was the case in the previous year.

What is CAT Eligibility Criteria 2023?

• Graduation with at least 50% aggregate (45% for SC/ST/PwD applicants) or equivalent degree from a university recognized by the UGC is the minimum qualifying condition for the CAT test.
• Students in their final year of graduation are also eligible to take the CAT, however their average score from the prior two years must be 50% (45% for SC/ST/PWD applicants).
• Candidates pursuing professional courses such as ICAI, ICSI, and ICWAI may also apply for the CAT test.

CAT Exam 2023 Application Form Completion: Step by Step Process

As soon as you are ready to apply for CAT 2023, we will walk you through the process and provide you with all of the necessary information. In the following stages, you may quickly complete the CAT application form. The application procedure for CAT 2023 is detailed here.

Step1: Login to CAT Exam  @ iimcat.ac.in to Create a Profile

The first step is to go to the CAT 2023 website, which is IIMCAT.ac.in. Look for the 'New Candidate Registration' area. To register as a new user, click this button. When you click the 'Register' button, a new page named 'Register to acquire User ID and Password' will appear.

Register to Get User ID & Password

Enter your Name, Date of Birth, Email, Country, and Mobile Number on the 'Register to Get User ID and Password' Page (see picture below). Then, choose 'Generate OTP' from the drop-down menu. You will get a one-time OTP on your mobile device as well as through email. You must confirm this. Following verification, you will be given a CAT 2023 user ID and password. Save it and then log in to complete the CAT 2023 main application form. 

Check Message: Registration Successful

You will get the message 'Registration Successful' as soon as you finish the CAT registration page, along with your CAT 2023 User Id and Password. To complete your CAT application form, you must enter your CAT user ID and password.

Step-2: Complete CAT 2023 Application Form in Steps as below:

After completing Step 1, you must login at the 'Registered candidate login' page on iimcat.ac.in, as shown below. After logging in, you will be instructed to fill out the information in your CAT application as shown in the stages below.   

1: Fill in Personal Details in CAT Application Form

Fill up your personal information first, such as your parents' names, gender, category, country, and communication address, among other things. You must also submit your photograph, signature, and caste certificate.

Important Guidelines & Documents in CAT Application Form 2023

• Upload your passport-size picture as a scanned image with a resolution of 1200 × 1200 pixels.
• Upload the scanned signature in a file with dimensions of 80 mm by 35 mm and a file extension of.jpg or.jpeg.
• Each file shouldn't be larger than 80KB.
• Clear images with a minimum resolution of 150 pixels per inch are required.
• Your image shouldn't be older than six months.
• White should be the backdrop of the photo.
• On the day of the exam, the admission card must be updated with the same picture.

2. Fill in Academic Details from Class 10 onwards in CAT Application Form

Following your Personal Details, you will be required to fill in all of your academics starting with Class 10 on the CAT 2023 form, such as test taken, Board/University, marks earned, maximum marks, percentage of marks, and so on. 

3: Fill the Work Experience Obtained after Graduation

Following the completion of your Academic Details, the following page on the registration form that appears is for work experience. If you are a candidate with job experience gained after graduation, submit it in months as of July 31st, 2023. Enter the months you worked in each industry (such as banking, auto, and information technology).

Select Test Cities

Out of the 155 places where the CAT 2023 exam is scheduled, you may choose your top six test cities. CAT Centre 2023 will make every attempt to provide you your first choice of test city. However, if it is not allowed for whatever reason, you will be sent to the next preferable test city. The following are some of the major modifications made in CAT 2023 test cities:

• In Uttar Pradesh, Noida and Greater Noida have been combined into a single test city for the CAT exam.
• Haryana's Faridabad and Gurgaon have been combined into one CAT test city.

Step-3: Make Payment Online for CAT Application Form Fee 

The CAT application fee is expected to rise to Rs.2400 this year. It was Rs.2300 last year. The last step in completing your CAT Registration & Application form is to pay the CAT exam 2023 application cost. Payment must be paid online. A General / NC-OBC applicant must pay Rs.2400 for the CAT application and examination fee, while a SC/ST/PWD candidate must pay Rs.1200. The total will also include any relevant extra costs.

The CAT website accepts credit cards, debit cards, and net banking, so make sure you use one of them. 

NOTE - Please keep in mind that if you skip any steps, your application will be incomplete, and if you provide any incorrect information in the CAT application form, you will not be admitted to any IIM, even if you get a high percentile in the CAT 2023 test.

How to Upload Photograph & Signature in CAT Application Form 2023?

• Please provide a current passport-size picture that is no older than six months.
• The image should be 1200 pixels wide by 1200 pixels high.
• 1 MB is the maximum file size.
• File Formats: JPEG and JPG Only
• Please submit the same picture that you want to attach to your admit card the day of the exam.
• The picture print has to be crisp and have a continuous-tone appearance. A whole face, neck, shoulders, front view, and open eyes should be present. The backdrop should be white or off-white.
• Make sure the picture is accurately scanned using a scanner alone. Never scan a picture using a mobile device or other mobile software.

CAT Application Eligibility Criteria

According to the CAT Application Eligibility Criteria, you must have one of the following academic credentials.

• If you are a general category applicant, you must be a graduate in any subject with at least 50% in your bachelor's degree; or
• In 2023, appearing in the last year of graduation; or
• If you are a reserved category applicant, you must be a graduate in any subject with at least 45% in your bachelor's degree.
