MICAT Syllabus 2023

MICAT Syllabus – The MICAT syllabus, as well as the selection procedure and the timetable, have been made available by the Mudra Institute of Communications in Ahmedabad. The MICAT has a unique curriculum and testing format in comparison to other MBA entrance examinations. This is due to the fact that it is administered for entry into a specialized programme, namely the PGDM in Communications. The Verbal Ability, Quantitative Ability, General Awareness, and Reasoning sections of the MICAT test have been joined by Psychometric Test and Descriptive Test, thanks to MICA Ahmedabad.

The Sectional Overview of the MICAT Syllabus for 2023

The question paper for the MICAT is broken up into three distinct sections. Two of the three components are exclusive to the MICAT all by themselves.

The following is an outline of each section of the MICA Admission Test.

  • MICAT Section A – Psychometric Test
  • MICAT Section B – Descriptive Test
  • MICAT Section C – VA, QA, GA, and DRC

The course outline for each of the three sections of MICAT 2023 may be found below:

MICAT Section A – Psychometric Test

  • The MICAT examination consists of several sections, the first of which is the Psychometric Test. This portion of the exam is essentially a personality test that evaluates a candidate’s mental process as well as their capacity to solve problems.
  • Before moving on to the second and third parts of the exam, each candidate must first demonstrate that they have successfully completed the first part of the exam.
  • Typically, the questions for this area of the MICAT exam are organized into three separate sets.
  • In this phase, they will be given two questions in the form of arguments, which they will need to evaluate based on how closely they relate to their own personalities and then give a score out of ten.
  • The third question consists of a set of responses that are to be graded on a scale from 1 to 6 based on the information provided.

MICAT Section B: Descriptive Test

Due to the nature of the questions asked in this part of the MICAT exam, the syllabus for this section has not been set. This element of the MICAT exam consists of three to four descriptive questions, such as essay and story writing, as well as a piece that argues for or against a particular topic. Candidates will be provided with a series of pictures and asked to construct a narrative based on the images. Therefore, in order to strengthen their essay writing skills, applicants need to read current events, and they should read fiction in order to build their creative writing talents.

MICAT Section C: Verbal Ability, Quantitative Ability, General Awareness, Divergent-Convergent Reasoning

The themes that are covered in the Verbal Ability, Quantitative Ability, General Awareness, and Divergent-Convergent Reasoning tests that are included in the MICAT section C syllabus are the same ones that are covered on other MBA entrance exams (also known as logical reasoning).
