Scholarship for Need-Based Financial Assistance (NBFA) at IIM Sirmaur:

Deserving people can apply for need-based financial assistance (NBFA) at IIM Sirmaur. Here are some key informational data regarding the NFBA scholarship.

Financial aid (NBFA) is provided by the Indian Institute of Management Sirmaur to all eligible applicants who are accepted into the Postgraduate Programme in Management (PGP). The Need-Based Financial Assistance (NBFA) program at IIM Sirmaur strives to guarantee that no participant's financial constraints keep them from enrolling in the institute's educational programs. The NBFA Committee uses two procedures to decide how much aid is given and to whom.

  • The students' application will be examined in the first round in order to ascertain the participant's financial need. Depending on the results of the first round, some of the candidates might get invites to meet with the NBFA Committee. How well applicants perform in phases I and II of the review process will determine whether or not they are eligible for financial assistance.
  • Usually, the amount of financial help is set at a level that is comparable to the tuition for that academic year. NBFA payouts are based on a percentage of the maximum amount specified, contingent upon the family's income. The annual income ranges are as follows: up to 1.5 lakhs, above 1.5 lakhs up to 3 lakhs, over 3 lakhs - 5 lakhs, over 5 lakhs up to 8 lakhs, and over 8 lakhs up to 10 lakhs.
  • It is required that students take out a loan from a respectable bank and pay for their tuition during their time in school using money from the loan account. The entire amount awarded through the NBFA program will not surpass the allocated sum for that academic year.
  • When giving out NBFAs, the disciplinary records of the participants will also be taken into account.
  • Only a portion of the tuition fee loan will be covered by the NBFA, and it will only be disbursed following receipt of the necessary documentation from the loan account proving the fee submission. Those who qualify should submit a completed application by the time established by the Scholarship Committee.
  • Applications that are submitted after the deadline will not be reviewed. In the first round, applications that are comprehensive and have all required documentation will be processed.

The need-based scholarships are intended specifically for worthy students who are struggling to pay for their education. The amount of financial aid awarded to a student and their eligibility for scholarships are determined by their family's income. A student is eligible for a 100% scholarship if their household income is less than 1.5 LPA.
