Chandigarh University Scholarship

Chandigarh Institution (CU) is a premier non-profit university that has been awarded the distinction A+ rating by NAAC. The institution has a total student body of 13,221 students, including over 5,500 female students across all departments. There are 16 departments in all, offering a wide range of specialities in undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programmes. Admission to these programmes is based on the results of CUCET tests taken at the university level.

The institution has emerged as one of the top universities in terms of placement, and it is also recognised and recognised by a number of organisations for its outstanding placement record. With over 750 Multi-Nationals visiting CU Campus in 2020-21, the number of offers reached 7412, with the top package increasing by 30% to a new high of INR 36 LPA.

Chandigarh University has launched CUCET, a common admission test with dual advantages, to give a chance for brilliant and curious young minds from across the country to study in the most difficult and diversified academic environment. The scholarships worth Rs. 33 Crores are intended to honour the brilliance and potential of young applicants by providing them with the opportunity to obtain scholarships and study in futuristic disciplines of their choosing.

Other Student Scholarship for the Academic Year 2021-2022

A. Policy on Old Student Concessions to Promote Higher Education

Students from the whole CGC group who seek admission to Chandigarh University after completing a qualifying degree or certificate will be awarded a scholarship equal to 10% of the annual tuition for the duration of the programme.

B. Concession for Single Girl Child

The Chandigarh University offers a 10% discount on the yearly price to unmarried girls throughout the duration of the study.

C. Concession for Teachers’ Wards

The Chandigarh University offers a 10% concession on the yearly fee to the wards of instructors throughout the duration of the degree. (Teachers from government / government recognised schools/colleges/universities) if the teacher has at least one year of regular service. This scheme will grant a maximum of 5% of total seats in each course.

D. Sibling Discount

The University provides a 10% discount on annual fees for one of the siblings enrolled in any Chandigarh University institute when both siblings are enrolled in the University. The student with the lowest fee structure will be offered the concession.

E. Allowance for a Female Sibling

The Chandigarh University offers a 10% discount on the yearly price to both female siblings throughout the duration of the degree.

F. For candidates who are orphans,

A 20% concession will be granted, while a 10% concession is currently in effect for single parents.

Concession Continuation Requirement

Students accepted under all of the aforementioned schemes in previous years, admitted in 2019-2020, and to be admitted in the future who completed the standard semester test on the first attempt (with NO “E”, “F”, “I”, or “Not Qualified” marks) are eligible for continuation of concession.
