Chandigarh University is accepting applications for remote learning courses. MBA, MCA, MCom, MA English, MA Phycology, BA, BCA, BBA, BCom, BSc Travel & Tourism are among the programmes available through distance education. 

Chandigarh University is a private university located in Chandigarh, one of India’s most attractive union territories. It was founded in the year 2012. CU serves as an academic centre offering many programmes in various areas, nestled among the picturesque hill regions of Shimla and Kasauli. Chandigarh University is also known for being the youngest among the top names on the NIRF rating list. In the year 2021, it is ranked #61 in the Engineering domain and #45 in the Management domain. Outlook recently placed CU 10th among India’s top 50 private state institutions in 2019.

Admission for all programmes is done by CUCET results and counselling is performed by the university, with about 22000 students joining each year. Admission to certain programmes is based on distinct scorecards.

Admission to B.Tech/B. Arch programmes are based on JEE Main Paper I/JEE Main Paper II or NATA scores, accordingly. Similarly, aspirants for ME/M. Arch must have a recent valid GATE score.

An applicant for the MBA programme must have a valid score on one of the following: CAT, MAT, or GMAT. The university administers the CU-Ph.D. Entrance Test for PhD.

programmes, while qualifying applicants from CSIR NET/ UGC NET/ GATE/ GPAT or SLET can also apply.

They will be shortlisted based on their submitted scores and will have to go through a Group Discussion and Personal Interview phase. These rounds will determine the candidate’s ultimate selection.

Other undergraduate programmes need completion of the 10+2 level of schooling with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks. Chandigarh University has over 250 collaborations with international universities in order to promote academic diversity. This aids in the formation of cooperation and the facilitation of a student exchange programme with them.

The institute also offers distance learning through CU-IDOL (Chandigarh University Institute of Distance & Open Learning). Admission is accessible to the following programmes: BBA, BCA, B.Com, B.A, B.Sc (TTM), MBA, MCA, M.Com, and M.A. (English & Psychology).

Chandigarh University B.E. & B.Arch Admission 2022

BE (both regular and lateral), B.Arch programmes are available at Chandigarh University in a variety of specialities. To be admitted to the BE, B.Pharm, and B.Arch programmes, students must take a scholarship cumulative entrance test. Chandigarh University B.E. & B.Arch Eligibility Criteria

B.E.

  • Students have a higher secondary education from a recognised board of education
  • Physics and mathematics, as well as one of the following topics, should be required. Chemistry, Biotechnology, Computer Science, and Biology are all disciplines.
  • In the qualifying examination, at least 50% of the marks must be obtained
  • SC/ST candidates must receive 45% of the total marks
  • Students who choose IBM courses must have a final exam grade point average of at least 60%.

B.Arch

  • 10+2 exams with 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, as well as 50% marks in the aggregate of the 10+2 level examination
  • 10+3 Diploma Examination with Mathematics as a required subject and an aptitude exam in Architecture
  • Candidates who have completed NATA or JEE PAPER-02 with a minimum of 40% of 390 points are eligible to apply.

  • Admission will be determined on the results of the University’s CUCET
  • Candidates who have passed the JEE Mains will be excused from the admission test.

B.Arch: The marks obtained in either CUCET, NATA, or JEE Mains paper 2 will be used to determine admission to B.Arch.

Chandigarh University B.E. Lateral Entry Eligibility Criteria

  • Diploma holder in any discipline of Engineering / Technology from a recognised Institute. OR a B.Sc. degree
  • In the final test, a minimum of 45% must be obtained

  • The university selects applicants based on their performance in the CAT/MAT/GMAT test
  • Those who do not have a scorecard from the above-mentioned test must take the CUCET exam, which is administered by the Chandigarh University

Chandigarh University UG Integrated Program admissions 2022: BA LLB, B.Com LLB, BA B.Ed, B.Sc B.Ed, B.Sc (Agriculture) + MBA

Chandigarh University provides BA-LL.B, B.Com-LL.B, BBA-LL.B, and B.Sc+ MBA, BA + B.Ed, and B.Sc+ B.Ed programmes at the integrated level. These courses are available for four years, with the exception of integrated legal programmes, which are available for five years. Candidates who meet the qualifying requirements for a certain course may apply for admission. Chandigarh University PhD Admission 2022

In the External method, Chandigarh University provides admission to the PhD programme in full-time, part-time, and Research Scholar categories. Admissions are typically available in the months of July and December each year. The minimal requirement for admission is a master’s degree in the appropriate area with a grade point average of 55% (50 percent for SC/ST). Candidates seeking the PhD programme must take an admission exam administered by the University. Candidates who have been shortlisted based on their admission exam scores are invited to an interview or presentation phase, after which the final selection is made. Candidates with valid GATE/ CSIR NET/ UGC NET/ SLET or GPAT scores, in addition to CU PhD scores, can apply for admission. Such applicants are just required to attend the Interview/Presentation round.

How to Apply for Chandigarh University PhD?

  • To apply for the PhD programme, candidates must first register online
  • Deposit the required fee of INR 1100 at any SBI bank using Net Banking, Debit/Credit Card, or E-Challan

Chandigarh University Application Process 2021

  • CUCET is divided into three phases: CUCET-I, CUCET-II, and CUCET-III. For the current session (January – April), CUCET-II is the active one for admission into various programmes.
  • For CUCET registration, go to the official website.
  • Enter your name, email address, phone number, city, discipline and programme of interest, and date of birth.
  • A system-generated User ID and Password will be issued to the candidate’s cellphone number and email address upon clicking
  • Relogin with these credentials and begin filling out the form, including personal information, academic information, and so on.
  • Pay the online application cost by net banking or debit/credit card online.
  • After paying for the application form and filling it out, the candidate can now submit it and print a physical copy of the fully completed application form for future reference.

For Application in Offline Mode, refer below-mentioned steps

  • Candidates can either download the admission form from the institute’s official website or go straight to the admission office and purchase the application form for INR 1000/- in cash.
  • Those who download the application form must pay the application cost of INR 1000/- in the form of a demand draught. DDs must be made payable to “Chandigarh University” and mailed to the Chandigarh University.
