At the undergraduate level, University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES) offers full-time UG courses like B.Com, B.Sc, B.Tech, BCA, BBA, BA, B.Des, and 2 Year LLB. At the postgraduate level, the University offers M.Tech, MBA, MA (Eco. ), M.Des, M.Plan, and LL.M programs. We also offer part-time and full-time Ph.D. programs at the University. 

• Candidates will be shortlisted for UG Design at UPES Dehradun admission 2022 based on UPESDAT, and for PG Design UPES Dehradun admission 2022 they will be shortlisted based on UPESDAT/CEED.

There are two types of UPES admission 2022 criteria: the examination path and the non-examination path. The examination pathway requires applicants to take entrance exams administered by UPES. For the non-examination path, UPES Dehradun admission 2022  is based on merit or scores in national-level entrance exams. The UPES application can be completed online or offline by paying INR 1350 for the application fee.

• The ULSAT score is used to determine which integrated LL.B programs will be offered. Candidates may also apply based on their CLAT/ LSAT scores in the non-examination categories.
• Admission to BA courses at UPES is based upon counseling interviews, while UPES Dehradun admission 2022 to BBA is based on Group Discussion followed by Interviews.
• M.Tech admissions take place by screening applications and then interviewing candidates.
• UPES Dehradun admission 2022 to MBA, candidates must be able to pass UPESMET. However, valid CAT/MAT/ XAT/CMAT/NMAT/ GMAT scores will also be accepted. Registering for NMAT/ XAT is now open and will close on November 10th and 30th, respectively.
• Admission to M.Des at UPES is based upon the CEED score or UPES DAT valid score followed by Presentation and Interview.
• Admission to MA Economics is based on candidates' scores in the UPES Online Economics Entrance Exam (UPESEEE), followed by an interview.
• The Research Aptitude Test (RET), which is administered by UPES, is used to determine Ph.D. Admission.
• Direct UPES Dehradun admission 2022 scholarships are available in B.Tech/BBA/LLB courses for Uttarakhand Residents. Students who secure rank up to 50 (for girls), in UK State Board exams, will be eligible for these scholarships.
• The university also offers distance learning.

The university is currently accepting applications for B.Tech, B.Pharm, and LLB courses. A student’s class 12th marks or JEE score will be considered when applying for B.Tech and BPharm programs, while CLAT/LSAT scores will be considered when applying for LLB programs. UPES B.Tech Admission 2022

University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES) offers full-time B.Tech degrees in 33 specializations. UPES offers a wide variety of specializations. The courses are offered in 16 specializations, and specialized courses in collaboration with IBM and XEBIA are offered in 13 and 3 specializations, respectively.

Eligibility

Minimum eligibility for application is 50% in class 10 or 10+2 and 50% in each of the Physics and Chemistry subjects at 10+2 level.

Candidates must obtain 50% in 10+2 subjects as well as PCM subjects to be eligible for the Non-examination pathway. For JEE Main merit, 50% must be obtained in 10+2 subjects.

After the declaration of JEE Main Result, the merit of JEE Main is going to be made public on the website. Based on the JEE Main result, centralized counselling will take place through Merit Ranking.

Selection Process

UPES admission 2022 is based upon the UPES Engineering Aptitude test (UPESEAT) in the examination pathway. JEE Main/10+2 merit is also considered through the non-examination pathway.

• Minimum 50% marks in class 10th, and 12th, and minimum 50% aggregate marks at PCM 10+2 level.
• Board Merit determines UPES Dehradun admission 2022 eligibility
• Minimum 80% marks for class 10th, and 12th, and minimum 80% aggregate marks for PCM at the 10+2 level.

Key Points :

• A number of UPES courses are open to candidates born only after October 1, 1998.
• 80% of the seats are filled by UPESEAT followed by centralized counseling.
• 20% of the seats will be filled through board/JEE Main merit.
• UPESEAT also fills vacant seats in the non-examination pathway when there are vacancies.
• A subsequent physical (paper-pencil test) or online test may be conducted by UPES in case of vacant seats.
• Candidates in the Non-examination category must submit their JEE Main score and 10+2 score to be considered for the selection process.
• A candidate should have 80% marks in 10+2 and PCM if he or she is from Uttarakhand State Board. Candidates must also rank within 150 in UK Board in order to qualify.

UPES Dehradun Scholarship 2022

Merit-Based UPES Scholarship 2022

1. The scholarship amount is 50% of the tuition fee for the first semester
2. We are offering merit-based scholarships to students who obtain an aggregate of 80% in class X and XII and 80% in PCM for B.Tech (All Streams) in CBSE/ICSE/State Examination Boards.
3. Each B.Tech program will be able to offer such scholarships to 10% of their students.
4. Scholarships will be awarded based on merit to eligible candidates in the first semester.
5. Scholarships will continue in the subsequent years as per University policy

UPES Dehradun Scholarship 2022 for Uttarakhand State Board Toppers

1. UPES Dehradun Scholarship 2022 Amount- 25% of tuition fee waiver for Boys and 35% for Girl students in first year.
2. In accordance with their merit orders, Uttarakhand State toppers will receive one seat per program.
3. The 15% reservation for Uttarakhand residents will apply to seats reserved under this category.
4. The applicant must have a “Sthai Niwas Praman Patra” (Permanent Residence Certificate).
5. Only one scholarship is available at a time (Uttarakhand Board Toppers or Uttarakhand Residents).
6. Merit scholarships will be offered in future years according to the University’s policy.

UPES M.Tech Admission 2022

The UPES M.Tech program offers 12 different specializations. BE/B.Tech degrees from a recognized university are required for applicants.

Admission to M.Tech. programs at UPES. After screening applicants’ applications, an interview is conducted. 

Key Points :

• By providing proof of eligibility, candidates in their final year examinations are also eligible for UPES admission.
• UPES does not admit candidates with compartments in any of their subjects.
• Those who hold a M.Sc degree must also hold a B.Sc degree with a minimum of 60%.
• Fellowships will not be provided to candidates who do not pass their semester on the first attempt and are not punctual academically.

Scholarship

Students who have achieved 70 percentile or higher in the GATE will be given a scholarship of INR12,400/- per month.

A valid GATE score of 70 percentile or above will be considered for a scholarship at Rs. 12,400/- per month during their registration period with the university for students admitted to the M.Tech program in the academic session 2021. In order to continue receiving the scholarship in subsequent semesters, you must meet the following requirements:

*A minimum SGPA/CGPA of 8.0 is required for each semester.

*Achieved every semester examination on the first attempt, in addition to maintaining regular attendance, discipline, exemplary behavior and compliance with all other     University norms.

Outcome Based Research Grant : All students will be eligible to receive a grant up to a sum of Rs. 50,000/- toward outcome-based research according to rules & regulations laid down by the university.

M.Sc and B.Sc Admissions to UPES in 2022

At the PG level, the department offers a 2-year M.Sc program, and at the UG level, it offers a 3-year B.Sc program and B.Sc (Hons) program. A 100% mark in a B.Sc. or B.Sc. in Agriculture is the minimum requirement for a PG program. A minimum of 50% marks in class 10 and 12 is required for UG programs.

Students who are eligible should fill out the application form, which will be screened, followed by an interview. Successful applicants will be admitted.

UPES B.Com (Hons) Admission 2022

A B.Com (Honors) degree is also offered by the institute at the undergraduate level. In order to be eligible for admission, students must have obtained 50% marks in 10+2. 

Students are selected for admission based on their performance in the interview.

UPES LLB and LLM Admission 2022

UPES offers BA. LL.B, B.Com LL.B, BBA LL.B and LL.M under the School of Law. 

LLB programs, the duration is five years, while for LL.M programs, the duration is two years. The ULSAT exam administered by the institute is required for admission to LL.B programs. The ULSAT-LL.M exam is required for UPES Dehradun admission 2022  to LL.M programs.

Key Points :

• In the case of CLAT/LSAT or Board merit, the candidates are exempted from ULSAT.
• Such candidates are invited directly to Group Discussions and Personal Interviews.

UPES M.Des and B.Des Admission 2022

UPES Dehradun admission 2022 for School of Design Studies (SoDS) at UPES offers M.Des and B.Des programs for 2 years and 4 years respectively. In order to be admitted to both courses, a valid UPES Design Aptitude Test (UPES – DAT) score must be obtained, followed by a personal interview and portfolio submission. 

Key Points :

• For M.Des., candidates with a valid score in CEED are exempted from UPES-DAT.
• For B.Des., candidates with a valid score in Board/JEE/NIFT/NID and UCEED are exempted from the entrance test.
• Such candidates will be called for Portfolio Presentation and an Interview directly.
• The university will announce the date of Presentation and Interview post UPES-DAT result.

UPES BA and MA Admission 2022

UPES Dehradun admission 2022  Under the School of Management, the university offers BA, BA(Hons) and MA To be eligible for BA and BA (Hons) programs, students must have a minimum grade point average of 50% min class 10th and 12th. MA students are eligible with a minimum of 50% marks in class 10th, 12th, and graduation.

Applications and personal interviews are used to determine admission to both courses. There are some specializations, however, where the selection is solely based on an interview.

UPES BBA Admission 2022

In addition to BBA at the undergraduate level, the university offers 17 different specializations in BBA. This course is open to candidates who have passed the 10th and 12th grades with a minimum of 50% marks. 

Students are admitted to BBA based on their performance in Group Discussions and Personal Interviews. The university does not conduct an entrance examination for this course.

Eligibility criteria :

• Class 10th and 12th grades must have an average of 80%.
• Top 150 students from the UK State Board.
• One seat per merit order.
• Students from Uttarakhand domicile will be eligible to apply for these seats within the 15% reservation.
• A Thai Niwas Praman Patra (Permanent Residence Certificate) is required.
• There will only be one scholarship per student (either through Uttarakhand Board Toppers or through the Uttarakhand Domicile category).

Scholarship 

Boys receive a 25% tuition fee waiver in their first year, while girls receive a 35% tuition fee waiver.

Scholarships in subsequent years will be awarded according to the University’s merit scholarship policy.

UPES MBA Admission 2022

There are 15 specializations available for two years in the MBA program at UPES. Applicants must qualify for the UPES Management Entrance Test (UPESMET) in order to be admitted to this program. However, UPES also offers admission through Non-Exam Pathway, i.e., on the basis of scores in any national level entrance examination, such as CAT/ MAT/ CMAT/ CMAT/ NMAT or XAT.

The final selection will be based on the entrance test score, followed by a Group Discussion and a Personal Interview.

Eligibility

A minimum of 50% marks in class 10th, 12th, and graduation are required for admission to the MBA program.

Selection Process

The UPESMET entrance exam (conducted by UPES) or any national entrance exam will be used to determine MBA admission. 

Those candidates who have scored well in any of the above-mentioned entrance tests will be invited to participate in Group Discussions and Personal Interviews.

UPESMET Test Scheme: Questions will be asked from the following sections as listed below:

Key Points :

• Students with a minimum MAT score of 80 percentile will be exempt from UPESMET and will only be invited for Group Discussion & Interview if they are qualified for MBA in Oil & Gas / Power Management / Energy Trading / Logistics and Supply Chain Management / International Business. You may also submit a valid CAT/ XAT/ CMAT/ NMAT or GMAT score.
• The students with MAT scores of 75 percentile or above who apply for MBA in Port & Shipping Management, Aviation Management, Urban Infrastructure & Development, Business Analytics, HR, Operations, Marketing & Finance will be exempt from UPESMET and will only be called for Group Discussion & Interview if qualified. A valid CAT/ XAT/ CMAT/ NMAT or GMAT score is also required.

Scholarship

UPES offers scholarships on the basis of merit for MBA programs. 

Criteria for Scholarships & Eligibility

• CAT/XAT score of 80 percentile or higher
• MAT, NMAT, UPESMET, & any other national entrance test with a minimum 90 percentile.
• There are 5% seats in each program for a 25% tuition fee waiver in the first semester

UPES Ph.D. Admission 2022

UPES offers Ph.D. courses through full-time and part-time modes in a number of specializations. The minimum eligibility to apply is a Master’s degree with 60% marks in the relevant field. UPES admission to Ph.D. is done on the basis of Research Entrance Test (RET) conducted by UPES, followed by an interview. During the interview, candidates will be expected to discuss their research interests.

The Key Points

• Candidates with 5 years or more industry/teaching experience will be given 5% relaxation for UPES admission in Ph.D. in Engineering/Technology and Science.
• Candidates with 5+ years of managerial experience will receive 5% relaxation when they apply for a Ph.D.
• Candidates with the qualifications of CA/ICWA/CFA/CS/LLB and at least 5 years of experience in management are eligible to apply for a Ph.D.
• LLM degree holders with a Ph.D. or in Law may receive a relaxation of 5% for those who have five years of experience.
• Provisionally selected candidates must complete the coursework requirement as prescribed by Faculty/College Research Committee.
