BA in Liberal Arts Admission Process

The admission process for BA in liberal arts is done either through two processes that are either entrance or merit-based.

The student first checks whether he or she is matching the eligibility criteria of the college offering the course of ba in liberal arts
After which the student registers for the exam and creates a login ID and password.
After getting the credentials the student logs into the account and then fills out the application form by submitting the appropriate documents asked for.
After this the admit card is released and the student gives the entrance. The admit card is released a week prior to the exam.
After the entrance, the college Releases its cut-off marks and answer key. If the student matches it then he or she fills out the counselling form of the college Released.
If the college sees that the student is matching to their selection criteria he or she is called for a GD or PI and if selected then offered a letter to join the university.
The other process is merit-based. Here mainly 10+2 factors are taken into consideration. The eligibility criteria are not there as such but the student is expected to belong from a humanities background. Though it is not a hard and fast rule.

BA in Liberal Arts Eligibility Criteria

Before enrolling yourself into a BA in liberal arts college there are certain requirements that need to be fulfilled. Though these criteria differ from college to college, there are certain basic eligibility criteria that a student needs to fulfil. These are-

The student must have completed their 12th and passed with a percentage of 60 and above.
The student belonging to maths or economics or political science will be given preference.
The student also needs to sit for an entrance exam if prescribed by the University to seek admission into a liberal arts program.

BHU UET:

BHU UET or Banaras Hindu University Undergraduate Entrance Exam is conducted by the BHU itself. This exam is conducted in order to give admission to students in various courses like BA, BSc, BA LLB, LLB, BPEd, B.VSc, BPA, and BFA. The pattern of the exam is either CBT or pen and paper-based. The duration of the examination is 2 hours with multiple choice questions of a total of 450 marks and 150 questions. For every correct answer, the student is awarded 3 marks and for every incorrect answer, the student is awarded -1.

JNUEE:

JNUEE or Jawaharlal Nehru University Entrance Exam is conducted by Jawaharlal Nehru University and is a national-level examination under NTA ( National Testing Agency). The entrance is conducted in order to give students admission into various UG and PG as well as doctoral-level courses. The exam is a three-hour long examination with 100 questions. The examination is based on both objective as well as subject-type question patterns. For every incorrect answer, there is a negative marking.

DUET:

Delhi University entrance exam or DUET is conducted in order to qualify students in various pg and doctoral levels courses. The conducting body is NTA ( National Testing Agency). The test is a CBT (Computer based test) conducted for two hours.

AMUEE:

AMUEE or Aligarh Muslim University Entrance Exam is conducted by the Aligarh Muslim University in order to give students admission into various UG and PG courses. The exam is CBT based and the duration of the exam is three hours. For every correct answer, the student is awarded 1 mark. The pattern of the exam is multiple choice questions with a total of 150 questions.
