MIT Pune Admission

MIT World Peace University is India’s premier educational institution, founded in 1983 as part of the MIT Group of Institutions. For its B.Tech degree, MIT-WPU was been placed 150th in the NIRF Engineering Rankings 2021. The B.Tech Programme is available in nine different Engineering and Technology specialisations. Admission to the B.Tech programme at MIT-WPU is based purely on the student's performance in the JEE Main or MHT-CET entrance exams.

For the B.Tech Admissions 2021-22, MIT-WPU is accepting applications from JEE Main or MHT-CET qualified candidates. Interested individuals can apply for the position by visiting the MIT-official WPU website. In addition, the Academic Session for the B.Tech Programme academic year 2021-22 is planned to begin in November 2021.

Currently, about 50,000 students are enrolled in various courses in several fields. Under its several schools, MIT-WPU provides a variety of courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels. It also provides a PhD programme in two fields: engineering and pharmacy.

MIT-WPU B.Tech Admission

With a total enrollment of 1260, MIT World Peace University provides a B.Tech programme (full-time) in 9 specialities. The entrance test is used to select candidates for admission. The qualifying requirements for Maharashtra state applicants and All India candidates are the same as shown below. The institution also provides lateral entry into the B.Tech programme, which has the same specialities as the 4-year B.Tech degree. The institution offers ten specialities in the B.Tech programme, as well as electives, which are shown below, along with the intake for each.

MIT-WPU B.Tech Eligibility

The following are the minimal requirements for the B.Tech. programme for Maharashtra State Candidates and seats under the All India Quota:

Candidates from the state of Maharashtra

  • Candidates must have completed 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics as required courses, as well as one of Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, or Technical Vocational subjects.
  • Candidates for the Maharashtra State Open Category must have obtained 50 percent aggregate marks (45 percent marks for the Maharashtra State Backward Class and PWD categories alone) in the aforementioned topics taken together.
  • Those who have completed the Diploma in Engineering and Technology with a minimum of 50% (45% for the Backward Class and PWD categories of Maharashtra State alone) are also eligible.
  • Candidates who have been awarded an IB Diploma or the IB Diploma Course (i.e. an IB Certificate) as a qualification for entry to the professional course at the institute and have passed the subjects of Physics and Mathematics at a Higher Level (HL) with a minimum score of 24 credits are also eligible to apply.

Notes:

  • If a seat remains vacant owing to non-allocation and non-reporting for admission, it will be considered for allotment in the next round of counselling.
  • Diploma applicants will be considered for allocation only in the last round of counselling for First Year Engineering and Technology Admissions.
  • If the applicant fails to appear in person for Seat Acceptance, the seat will be refused.
  • If any of the documents or certifications are proven to be invalid or fraudulent at any point, and/or the Candidate does not match the qualifying requirements, the allotted seat will be revoked.

MIT-WPU BBA & BBA (Research) Admission

MITWPU provides BBA and BBA (Research) programmes lasting three and four years, respectively. The programme has 240 places available, and candidates for admission are chosen based on their entrance exam results, GD, and PI. The programme is full-time and available in three specialities. MIT-WPU BBA Eligibility

  • Candidates must have completed their HSC/ 10+2 from any stream with English as a passing subject and received a minimum of 50% (45% for the Reserved category) in aggregate.
  • They must hold a 2-year/ 3-year diploma from the Maharashtra Board of Technical Education or its equivalent MCVC.

MIT-WPU BBA Selection Criteria

  • MIT World Peace University selected candidates into the BBA programme based on their performance in the university’s own entrance exam, known as the UGPET.
  • Those who pass the test must participate in a group discussion and a personal interview.
  • The performance in the preceding rounds determines the ultimate selection.

MIT-WPU UG Admission

MIT World Peace University provides a variety of undergraduate programmes such as B.Des., B.Sc., B.Sc. (Hons), BCA, B.Pharm., Polytechnic, B.Com., and B.Com. (Hons), B.Ed, BA, BA (Hons), BFA, Diploma in Photography, LLB, and Integrated Programs such as B.Sc.-B.Ed, BBA LLB (Hons (Hons).

The minimum requirement for these courses is a 10+2 pass with 50 percent marks. Candidates for courses such as Polytechnic and Diploma in Photography must have completed class 10th with the minimum needed marks. For the B.Ed. and LLB courses, a graduate degree with a minimum of 50% grades is necessary.

Admission to UG degrees is based on performance in the university’s qualifying test or entrance exam, as well as additional state/national level examinations and/or a personal interview.

At MIT World Peace University, the M.Tech degree is available in 13 specialities, including significant courses such as Civil Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, ECE, Mechanical Engineering, and Petroleum Engineering. Candidates are chosen for admission based on their entrance exam results and job experience. MIT-WPU M.Tech Eligibility Criteria

  • To be eligible to apply for the M.Tech. programme, candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject with at least 50% marks (SC/ST candidates are eligible to apply regardless of their grades/CPI).
  • Sponsored applicants must have a minimum of two years of full-time work experience in a registered firm/company/industry/educational and/or research institute/any Government Department or Government Autonomous Organization in the appropriate field.

MIT-WPU M.Tech Selection Criteria

  • Candidates for admission are examined based on their GATE score and job experience.
  • If candidates do not have a valid GATE score and work experience, the institution will conduct a written test and interview for any open seats following the admission process outlined above.

MIT-WPU MBA Admission

​The MITWPU MBA programme is provided full-time for two years of course work. The curriculum is also available in dual specialities with three disciplines, namely CSR, HHM, and Sports Management. MBA and MBA specialisations are available. There are 1080 seats available for Dual Specializations. Candidates are chosen for admission based on their entrance test scores, which are then followed by a Group Discussion and a PI round. The table below shows the intake capacity for each subject:

MIT-WPU MBA Eligibility Criteria

To apply for the MBA programme, candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree from any statutory institution with at least 50 percent marks (45 percent for the Reserved category).

MIT-WPU MBA Selection Criteria

  • Admission to MBA programmes is determined by entrance tests such as the CAT/ MAT/ XAT/ CMAT/ MAH-MBA-CET/ PERA CET.
  • Candidates with a valid score in any of the aforementioned tests are invited to the MIT-WPU GD and PI rounds.
  • The performance in the preceding rounds determines the ultimate selection.

MIT-WPU PG Admission

MIT-WPU also provides M.Sc., MCA and M.Pharm. PGDRA, M.Com., M.Ed., MA, and MPH at the postgraduate level. The fundamental criterion for all courses is a Bachelor’s degree with the appropriate minimum grades. Admission to PG programmes is based on the university’s MIT-WPU PGPET Entrance Exam, followed by an interview or merit in the qualifying exam. Selection for courses such as MCA and M.Pharm is based on MAH-MCA-CET and GPAT examinations, respectively.

  • Candidates must register by providing information such as their name, email address, and phone number.
  • Following registration, individuals must complete the application form with personal and educational information.
