MIT WPU Faculty of Engineering, Pune

MIT World Peace University offers a variety of scholarships to deserving students. The following is a synopsis of the situation:

• Dz Vishwanath Karad Merit Scholarship: This scholarship would grant a full tuition remission for all years to the top 5% of students in the particular programme, subject to the fulfilment of the requirements outlined in the policy.
• MIT-WPU Merit Award: This scholarship would be available based on student's merit during the first year of the programme only (for students other than Dr Vishwanath Karad Merit Scholarship recipients) and would be given in accordance with the terms of that policy.
• Scholarship for Rank Holders: Each year, this scholarship is offered to programme rank holders who achieve first or second place in their respective MIT-WPU yearly examinations. From the second year of the programme forward, qualifying students will be granted the rank holder scholarship.
• Scholarships for Elite Sportspersons: This scholarship is given to worthy athletes based on their involvement in nationally/internationally recognised sports competitions/events.
• Wards of MIT WPU/MAEER Staff Members are eligible for a scholarship.
• Scholarships in Other Subjects

Dz Vishwanath Karad Merit Scholarship

• This scholarship gives a tuition fee waiver of 100 percent (or the whole programme term) subject to the student fulfilling the requirements listed below and the conditions revised from time to time by the University in this respect.
• The number of scholarships to be given is proportional to the actual intake and cannot exceed 5% of the allowed intake in the corresponding programme.
• The scholarship will be offered to qualifying students on a first-come, first-served basis, and scholarship places are currently available (wherever applicable).
• The program-specific conditions for a tuition-free programme for the duration of the programme.

Scholarship to Rank Holders

This rank holder scholarship is available to 1st and 2nd rank holders in the corresponding prior year annual examinations for the following years, i.e. while entering the second year of the programme. This award would not be available to students who are still receiving the full waiver scholarship.

Scholarship to Elite Sportsman

Any student who competes or wins a medal at the national or international level while representing MIT-WPU or playing for any government-sponsored/government-recognized official sports organisation in any nationally or internationally sporting event, in individual or team sports, is eligible for the following scholarship only in the year in which the medal is won.
