GITAM University Scholarship
GITAM University scholarships help students as they can use them to fund their education. They work to ensure that the only emphasis of deserving candidates receiving degree scholarships stays on their studies and that their financial circumstances do not stand in the way of their accomplishment.
There is a certain framework for GITAM University Scholarships. Read below:
- First-come, first-served policy will be used for admissions through scholarships.
- Scholarship applications are only accepted for up to 25% of the authorized program intake. Up to 50% of the authorized intake for physiotherapy will be eligible for scholarships.
- The student will not be eligible for the scholarship even if they meet the requirements once the designated 25% of seats (or 50% in the case of physiotherapy) in a program are filled through scholarships.
- The GITAM Admission Test (GAT) is a requirement for the scholarships made available through the National and State Entrance Exams, and students must take it and show up for the scheduled admissions counseling sessions.
- A student will receive the highest percentage of the scholarship if he or she is qualified for one through the GAT, National, and State Entrance Tests in more than one category.
- The scholarship is only available for the first year and is available through the GAT, National, and State Entrance Tests. Subject to earning a CGPA of 8.0 or higher, the same scholarship will be offered over the succeeding academic years.
- Additionally, only 25% of the merit scholarships are available to children of GITAM employees who are enrolled in full-time programs and who pass the GAT, National, and State Entrance Exams.
- The students accepted under the GAT Scholarship Program also qualify for additional scholarships for siblings, children of retired employees, and alumni returning to higher education.
- The above scholarship is not applicable to MBBS Course
- The main scholarship policy will be need-based financial aid and merit-driven.
- Depending on merit, merit scholarships up to 100% of the tuition are granted. Based on the combined annual income of the qualified student's/students' parents, additional need-based scholarships are awarded to merit students.

Merit-based Scholarship
It is available if an applicant passes the GAT 2023 entrance exam or any other national or state-level entrance test.
Need-based Scholarship
According to the parent or guardian's income level, a candidate who qualifies for Merit may also be eligible for a need-based scholarship.
Sports scholarship

Loyalty Scholarship

GITAM University Scholarship Details
Merit Scholarships
Students who have excelled in their academic and athletic endeavors are awarded merit scholarships. A student may apply for financial aid through GITAM if they match the qualifying standards and have a history of consistently earning excellent marks or performing well.
Need-Based Scholarship
- There will be two tiers to the courses offered across campuses. Tier A: Tuition Fee >= 2.00 LPA, Tier B: Tuition Fee < 2.00 LPA
- If a student is reliant on their parents, the family's combined income must include both parents of the eligible student, to qualify for the need-based scholarship. If the student is married, the family's total income i.e, the student's and the spouse's—must be as stated below: Tier A: Less than 12.00 LPA, Tier B: Less than 08.00 LPA
- The qualifying applicant will receive the need-based scholarship after completing the scholarship form as required by the Department of Finance in the admissions application.
- The qualified students' need-based scholarships will be evaluated by the Department of Finance.
- Only the 75%, 50%, 25%, and 15% slabs will be eligible for need-based scholarships.
- The first year of their studies is covered by the scholarship award. The same scholarship will continue in the following academic years with a CGPA of 8.0 or higher and satisfactory academic performance.
- Students who qualify for the need-based scholarship based on merit may also be eligible for loyalty or sports scholarships as long as the total amount of the awards does not exceed 75,000.
Employee Children Scholarships:
- Employee children are not eligible for employee kid scholarships if they have been admitted into full-time programs and have already obtained 100% and 75% of the available scholarships.
- If they are accepted into full-time programs, children of GITAM employees are eligible for 50%, 25%, and 15% scholarships, with a combined award cap of 75%.
- The total number of scholarships awarded to children of GITAM employees who were accepted through the GAT Scholarship Scheme shall not exceed 75,000.
Sports Scholarships
Along with providing athletic facilities, GITAM (Deemed to be University) also offers sports scholarships to athletes who excel in their chosen sport. GITAM believes that this fosters healthy rivalry among the kids and encourages them to keep becoming better. With the help of this scholarship, players will have the chance to pursue a degree in their chosen sport while also receiving a top-notch education.
- A potential candidate might be qualified for Sports scholarships. The available scholarship levels are 100%, 75%, 50%, 25%, or 15%.
- The GITAM Student Residences may offer discounted or free housing for exceptional instances and deserving individuals.
Loyalty Scholarships
- Students accepted through the GAT Scholarship Program are eligible for loyalty scholarships such as those for siblings, alumni returning to higher education, and alumni children.
- Scholarship for Retired Employee's Children and Spouse of GITAM Employee.
- The Loyalty Scholarships will only ever use one criterion at a time. The Loyalty Scholarship will provide a maximum of 10%. Irrespective of how well he performs academically, the student will continue to receive the Loyalty Scholarship for the duration of his remaining period of study.
- "Status as at the beginning of the year" shall be taken into consideration for determining eligibility. Any eligibility gained throughout the year will be regarded as beginning with the following academic year. Pro-rata or beginning in the middle of the year are not permitted.

No more than 75% of the total amount awarded should be made up of the Merit Driven, Need-Based, Employee Children, Loyalty, and Sports Scholarships. The student's chosen scholarship combinations cannot be changed during the student's course of study.
