1. On the basis of the application form information and CAT scores, only candidates with valid scores would be short-listed.

2. There will be only a small number of candidates invited for the Group Discussion followed by the Personal Interview at one of the centers, namely: Kolkata, Gurgaon, and Bangalore/Mumbai/Chennai/Hyderabad (centers other than Kolkata and Gurgaon are tentative)

3. For applicants who are not U.S. citizens or who are British citizens, or who are Indian citizens working in Gulf countries, a GMAT score is required for consideration for admission (taken no later than Friday, 27th November 2020) if they are foreign or OCI.

4. When taking the GMAT Examination, candidates must register for the MDI Program on the GMAT website. MDIM will interview applicants who are selected on the basis of their GMAT scores. To determine eligibility for admission, the Government of India (GOI) will apply its rules.

5. Application status will be determined by the guidelines set up by the Government of India. By credit/debit card/Net Banking, candidates pay Rs.1180 (including 18% GST).

6. Successful candidates will be offered admissions later.

The shortlisted candidates will often be called at a GD-PI center near their places of residence, per Prof Atmanand. The best practice recommended by the government will still be followed due to COVID19.”

●  Students of MDIM have access to a global learning environment thanks to a partnership with SOAS University of London, United Kingdom.

●  In September 2020, MDI Murshidabad held its first online conference on the theme of International Conference on Business and Information Technology (ICBIT 2020) and received papers from academic institutions across the world, including Bangladesh, Nepal, and the United States. All the continents were represented at ICBIT 2020 including Asia, Australia, Europe, Africa, and the Americas. In the days to come, technology will play a major role in shaping knowledge creation and dissemination.

●  Faculty and students have been introduced to Moodle LMS for a more immersive online learning experience. A faculty member can utilize this platform to conduct various types of student performance evaluations. The Management Development Institute (MDI) was founded in 1973 as an independent institution in collaboration with KFW in West Germany and with the active aid of the Industrial Finance Corporation of India (IFCI). The Murshidabad campus of Management Development Institute (MDI) was established in 2014 with the purpose of providing management education, cultivating local talent, and training them to become global leaders.

On October 31, 2010, the Honourable Union Minister of Finance of the Government of India, Late Shri Pranab Mukherjee, laid the foundation stone at Jangipur, Murshidabad, West Bengal. MDI Murshidabad (MDIM) is a new business school that seeks to improve the lives of people, companies, and society. MDIM has established an image of quality in a short period of time by offering in-house and open Management Development Programmes on a variety of themes conducted by academics. MDIM began offering a Post Graduate Diploma in Management in 2014.

Eligibility for PGDM (Residential)​

1. Candidates must be able to provide a valid CAT 2021 score.

2. Candidates must have at least 50% or an equivalent CGPA in both X and XII.

3. List ItemThe applicant must have a three-year Bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks or an equivalent CGPA. In any discipline from any University established by an Act of the Central or State legislatures in India, or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India. The candidate’s Bachelor’s Degree or comparable degree must include at least three years of study after finishing upper secondary schools (10+2) or equivalent. Candidates appearing in the final examination for the Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent examination) and having completed all requirements for obtaining the Bachelor’s degree by 30th June 2022 may also apply, subject to providing evidence to that effect by 1st October, 2022; otherwise, they may be asked to withdraw from the programme.

The equivalency of the candidates being granted grades/CGPA instead of marks would be based on the equivalence declared by the university/institution/board from where they received their bachelor’s degree/certificate. If the university/institution/board does not have a mechanism for translating CGPA into comparable marks, MDIM will construct the equivalence by dividing the acquired CGPA by the highest allowable CGPA and multiplying the resulting fraction by 100.

1. Candidates will be shortlisted for the selection process based on the information supplied in the application form and their CAT 2021 results. Shortlisted applicants will be invited to a selection center in one of the following cities: Bangalore, Gurugram, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Chennai, or Mumbai. Other than Kolkata and Gurugram, the locations are subject to change. The selection process may also be undertaken online, in which case the short-listed applicants will be notified in advance.

2. In addition, the same fees will be charged to foreign nationals, OCIs, PIOs, and children of Indian workers in Gulf countries.

3. MDI Murshidabad uses CAT scores to shortlist/select candidates for its Postgraduate Diploma in Management (PGDM). IIMs have no role either in the selection process or in the conduct of the program offered by MDI Murshidabad.
