Lovely Professional University, Jalandhar is popularly known as LPU ranked as the 5th Best Private Universities in India by Outlook Ranking 2020 and 99 by NIRF Overall ranking of Universities in India. It offers courses in engineering, management, law, architecture, Science, and Humanities.

The University is conducting its placement drive for the year 2021 and 1150+ offerings were extended to the yet-to-graduate 2021 batch students in a single day. A total of 8500 students have been placed till now.

Over the past six years, the number of participating companies has increased from 172 (2015) to 635 (2020). In addition to this, the number of companies offering CTC above Rs 5 LPA has also seen an increasing trend in the past six years. Details are mentioned below:

In 2015, only 172 companies participated in LPU placements, which was increased to 635 in 2020. Also, in 2020, despite Covid, more than 110 recruiters of IITs/ MITs/ NITs hired students from LPU. The detailed year-wise data is shown below:

LPU Placements Trends: Companies Offering CTC above Rs 5 LPA

In 2020, a total of 192 companies offered the CTC of Rs 5 LPA and above. This number was only 5 in 2015 and 23 in 2016. So, there’s a drastic increase in the number of companies offering CTC above Rs 5 LPA. The below graph represents the year-wise data:

LPU Placements 2020: Salary Trends

The highest salary package offered to students has seen an improvement in the past six years. In 2015 and 2016, the highest salary package was Rs 7.8 LPA and Rs 7.05 LPA, respectively. On the other hand, the highest CTC was increased to 42 LPA in 2020 placements. Detailed year-wise salary trends are shown in the below graph:

LPU Summer Internship 2020 Batch

LPU encourages the students to participate in summer internship drives to make them industry-ready. The University also organises classes under its Placement Enhancement Program (PEP) where students are trained in aptitude, reasoning, soft skills, interviewing skills, right from the course commencement till their placements. During recent years, the students have been offered internship opportunities by some of the top companies, including Cognizant, Microsoft, Infosys and Morgan Stanley. The highest stipend offered to 2019 and 2020 batch was Rs 50,000 and Rs 80,000, respectively.

LPU has a wide network of alumni working across various sectors out of which, approximately 20% of LPU alumni are currently associated with the Engineering sector closely followed by 15% in Education. In the placement drive of 2021, 8500+ students were offered Jobs by more than 1500 participating companies.

During the placement drive of 2021, the highest CTC stood at INR 42 LPA and around 347 students were offered super dream (More than INR 10 LPA) and Dream offers (More than INR 5 LPA).
