In the early 1960s, late Sri Dayananda Sagar established the Dayananda Sagar pioneering university. It is one of India’s most important educational institutes. Dayananda Sagar Institutions (DSI), a forerunner in the area of education today, operates under the auspices of the Mahatma Gandhi Vidya Peetha Trust in Bangalore, India’s Silicon Valley. The late Sri Dayananda Sagar created Dayananda Sagar University under the Karnataka State Act. This university is part of the Dayananda Sagar Institutions and has a very well-constructed infrastructure. DSU’s goal is to deliver high-quality education. It attempts to develop highly skilled workers in the country.
The college provides a variety of courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels. The college accepts both direct admissions and admissions based on DSAT entrance tests. DSAT is the universal entrance exam that all applicants seeking admission to Dayananda Sagar University must pass. Dayananda Sagar University would begin offering courses in Engineering, Computer Applications, Sciences, Arts, and Management at the Bachelor, Master, and PhD levels in the 2015–16 academic year. The academic activities are supported by Centers of Excellence in ICT, Health Care, Energy, and Life Science, as well as other rapidly growing fields of research.
Remarks :
The admission process was simple and clear. The admission criteria for my program were apt. The minimum percentage required to enter the program was 50% in their +2 and there wasn’t any age barrier. The admission process required us to submit our documents (10th, and 12th marks card, transfer certificate, 5 passport-sized pictures, and deposit of 50,000) in order to reserve our seats.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I am pursuing BBA BFSI, this course includes a specialization from the very first year in the field of banking, financial services, and insurance. The faculty: student ratio is quite uneven, as the professors teach inter-changeably. The faculties are backed with Master's and PhD degrees accompanying published research papers. The program includes three internal exams every semester, accompanied by two end-term semester exams for the year.
Class Size: 47Course Fees: INR 152700
Internships Opportunities :
The companies include Zycus, Metvy, Uneako, Tata Class Edge, Mobbypark, Uber, Whitehat Junior, etc with a stipend ranging from 0-12,000. The roles include business development, HR, copywriting, marketing, management associates, etc.
Placement Experience :
Students become eligible for campus placements in their sixth semester. According to the programs, students have to do a three-month internship and submit their research, which is wholly coordinated with the mentors assigned. Due to the pandemic, we haven’t really come across companies. Companies and profiles offered by the college virtually are usually focusing on business strategy, sales, marketing, content, and HR roles.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
College begins with an odd semester that charges Rs. 80250 and the even semester is charged 79700. There has been no reduction in fees since the very first year. School of Commerce and Management does not provide any scholarship for any of the programs or provide any financial assistance. Due to Covid, campus recruitment and job assistance have become virtual but the companies are not up to the mark.
Campus Life :
The school of commerce and management does not hold any annual or tech fest. It holds a few extracurricular activities related to sports throughout the even semester. There are three libraries in the entire college, along with an online library, which provides access to numerous books and journals. Every class has a surveillance camera and every floor has a water gallon bottle. The classroom is clean and huge. We have two social groups that include culture, health, and fitness. The campus is huge and the infrastructure is splendid. The campus has three canteens, the employees are very cordial.

9.0/10
Not the best in terms of campus but good for education and placements.
Placements: As far as my knowledge most of the students got placed in good companies like TCS, Amazon, gati, etc. The lowest was 6 Lacs and the highest was 30 Lacs PA. Some of the recruiting companies are amazon, TCS, gati, etc. We also have a placement division to help out with placements.
Infrastructure: Not very good infrastructure it just has two blocks and not a lot of facilities on campus as well. It lacks a good playground and students often go out for sports. The canteen doesn’t have enough food and the hostel is really good with good food and rooms just that the fee is too high.
Faculty: Yes, the teachers are well-qualified and knowledgeable and are ready to help always. The curriculum is also up to date with good labs and makes the students ready for the future. The exams are a little tough, especially keeping in mind online classes.

Remarks :
I used to hear a lot about Christ university which was very famous for providing management programs and had a good rate of placement as well. So I decided to pursue my masters from this university after verifying everything about the college through my family and friends. The admission process for the course was very simple. The admissions for the course generally start in November. To apply for the course I visited the official website of the college, and from there I filled out my application form and submitted it along with paying the application fees of Rs5000.
Course Curriculum Overview :
To make my career in the field of business I decided to pursue MBA. The program is for two years and the curriculum is well structured. The curriculum focuses on academic theory along with real-life challenges to make students ready to face the challenges of this uncertain world. The curriculum also provides the students with the opportunity to be well-rounded business leaders and managers. The faculty here is a mixture of industry practitioners and academicians. They are extremely cooperative and knowledgeable. The faculty: student ratio is 1:16. The paper level is average.
Class Size: 150Course Fees: INR 770000
Internships Opportunities :
I did an internship with SabPaisa as a Product Manager. My internship was for three months. My responsibility was to create the product-related content along with analyzing the data and managing the work related to the product. I earned a stipend of Rs 9,000 per month from my internship.
Placement Experience :
In the second year, students get eligible for campus placement. Many companies visit the campus every year like Amazon, TCS, Odessa, HP, DE Shaw & Co. etc. About 85% of the students get placed in these companies. The highest package offered by companies during campus placement recently was Rs13.12LPA, whereas the average was Rs.8LPA. I am currently working as a marketing executive at MTR.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
The fees of the program for the first and second year are Rs.3.75LPA and Rs3.95LPA respectively, which gets to a total of Rs7.75LPA. When it comes to affordability it is not affordable for everyone. The college provides several facilities which help parents to pay the fees easily like merit scholarships, awards for co-curricular activities, alumni association scholarships etc.
Campus Life :
The campus life of this university is good. There are labs, a cafeteria, a gym, medical facilities, wifi etc. The library on campus is having more than 2,00,000 Lakh books, journals, newspapers, e-magazines, and the like. We have events like Techleons (generally organized in Feb), Nritta etc. A lot of emphases is made on extracurricular activities for which there is NCC, badminton court, basketball court etc. To bring out the creativity of the students the college also has clubs like Dance club, LDR club, Theatre-Zealous club, Writers club, etc. These clubs are run and organized by the students only.
Hostel Facilities :
I always wanted to be independent that's why I decided to live in a PG near the campus. There are many PGs and rooms available near the college. My PG was about 2 Km away from the campus, and I paid Rs 8,500 as the rent per month. This amount included my food changes as well. The area near the campus is safe and clean.
Admission :
To be eligible to apply for the course minimum score of graduation should be 50%. The other thing is to give the scores of the national entrance exam. I preferred CAT and scored 80 percentile. I was selected for the Micro presentation, GD and PI. The PI was not very tough and was of around 10-15 minutes. In the micro presentation, I had to speak on the given topic for 90 seconds. I faced a bit of a problem in the GD as I was not well-versed with the topic, but I tried my best and raise relevant points that were correct. This taught me the lesson of reading a newspaper every day and being updated about the world around us.

There is Wi-Fi available throughout the campus for all the students and it has a library too which can be used by any student for free.
Dayanand Sagar faculty: The teachers are very knowledgeable and very helpful. Only this year, there was a little issue and difficulty in learning as the course was offered online and it was new to the students as well as the teachers. The course is very relevant and makes the student industry ready. The exam difficulty is moderate in college and any average student can pass without any difficulty. The pass percentage in the college is approximately between 90-95% every year.

Quite a good campus life along with brilliant campus placements and facilities.
Dayanand Sagar placements: Placements in our college are good for tech branches. The salary package offered can be up to 30 LPA if you do well in the interviews. The highest salary package offered is about 45 LPA. You need to study hard for such placements and have a good grip on coding. Everything depends on how you work hard for such placements.
Dayanand Sagar infrastructure: The Department has around 7 Labs and each lab is equipped with LAN connections for network connectivity. There is a separate Library within the department along with the main library for the campus. All the classrooms are equipped with projectors and other facilities required for practical-based learning. Hostels are quite good with all the necessary amenities the mess food is quite hygienic and healthy with 3 other canteens within the campus.
Dayanand Sagar faculty: Almost all the teachers of my course are either PhD or are pursuing PhD and are well aware of the concepts with a helpful nature. Overall teaching quality is quite good. The whole curriculum is up to date with industry standards helping students to be industry ready. In order to relieve the pressure of the semester exams every month internal exams are taken for every 1 or 2 units taught in that month that keep the student exam ready. The pass percentage is quite good with almost 93%.

It’s a decent college with decent faculty

Students get an average salary package worth around 7.5 LPA.
Dayanand Sagar infrastructure: The infrastructure is well-developed here, and there are good facilities. There are Wi-Fi facilities, good hi-tech labs, decent canteens and a very good library. There are small libraries associated with each department. The quality of food served in the canteens is above average. There are good medical facilities, and there is an entrance to Sagar Hospital from the campus. There is a football ground, which doubles as a volleyball court, with a cricket pitch. There is also a basketball court.
Dayanand Sagar faculty: Teachers of our course are decently qualified. The teaching quality is average. The course curriculum is not up-to-date with the current automotive trends. Students are not entirely industry-ready. The semester exams are not very difficult if students prepare properly. The pass percentage is around 40%.

Our college has the best infrastructure
Dayanand Sagar placements: Approximately 70%-80% of students got placed from our branch. Top recruiting companies here are Amazon, Cisco, JP Morgan, TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, Mu Sigma, etc. About 60% of students got internships in companies. Roles offered by our course are electronics engineer, network engineer and software engineer.
Dayanand Sagar infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure of our college are one of the best in Bangalore. There is greenery throughout the campus and every department block. The campus is fully equipped with a high-speed Wi-Fi facility. Classrooms are well furnished and equipped with a projector. The library consists of thousands of books.
Dayanand Sagar faculty: Faculty members here have a thorough knowledge of the respective fields and clear the doubts as much as they can. Their teaching quality is above average and not the best. The course curriculum is updated almost every year, and the curriculum is based on industry standards. Semester exams are conducted by our college faculty members only, and the passing percentage is almost above 80%.

B.E. in Telecommunication Engineering – Batch of 2022
It is a decent campus with good placements in software companies.
Dayanand Sagar placements: Around 80% of the students get placed if they are willing to go in the IT sector because most of the companies here are only software-based and a few core companies also come but they take very fewer students. In our college, there are no restrictions and anyone can participate in the placements meeting. The basic criterion is an overall 7 GPA. So to conclude the placement scenario I will say that if you are pursuing a computer science degree here then there will be more job opportunities for you as compared to other branches.
Dayanand Sagar infrastructure: The infrastructure is fine but the hostel is very good if you take the NRI one. There is Wi-Fi coverage in dark and make and hostel block but Wi-Fi speed is faster in the morning, in day time speed produces as everyone is using Wi-Fi. There is proper hygiene and sanitation in the academic block hostel block or canteen. There is one doctor cum compounder for medical care and attention. Sports and games are not well developed on campus.
Dayanand Sagar faculty: Almost all the teachers are very helpful and experienced and most of them are PhD holders. Some are pursuing, they have very deep knowledge in their subject and they even make the students ready for the industry. The curriculum is similar to other engineering colleges in India as all of them follow AICTE guided curriculum. I think the curriculum needs some updating.

It is a good college
Dayanand Sagar placements: It’s a good college. Placement offers are also good as they also provide a lot of internship programs. Here we have a lot of companies visiting every year like Accenture, Wipro, Benz, Amazon, etc. The top roles offered are web development and android design. Almost 85% of the students are placed in our courses.
Dayanand Sagar infrastructure: Facilities are pretty good, and you will find the most interesting things like the infrastructure of the library. We have a 5-floor library where you can find any book you need. The college provides medical facilities, and it also has a medical wing on campus. Sagar hospital is present where anyone can go in case of emergency.
Dayanand Sagar faculty: Mostly, HODs will take the classes for mathematics and chemistry in the first year, and other faculty members are also good pretty and experienced. The minimum qualification for a professor here is a PhD, so almost all of them have completed their PhDs. Even proctors are assigned to the students, that is the non-teaching staff for students, yet, they are PhD holders.

Good campus life and the infrastructure is also very good.
Dayanand Sagar placements: Around 5% of the students from a total class strength of 70 got placed. The highest package for my course was 6.2 LPA, the average was 3 LPA and the lowest was 2.5 LPA. Mercedes Benz and Axis cades were the top recruiting companies for my course. About 90% of the students from my course got internships in places like DRDO, Maruti Suzuki, Volvo, Lotus motors, Autodesk etc. Graduate engineer trainee was the top role offered in my course.
Dayanand Sagar infrastructure: The infrastructure for our department is quite good. We have multiple labs for different subjects, trained attendees, and sufficient equipment and the department has Wi-Fi for students also. The quality of the facilities in the hostel is top-notch and the food in the mess is average. We have a cricket ground, football ground, squash, tennis and basketball court on campus. We have a hospital attached to our college so the medical facilities are also up to date.
Dayanand Sagar faculty: Some faculty members in our college are good, and some faculty members are bad. Whatever they want to teach during the exam, you have to study from youtube or else they will share PDF notes. You have to read it from there. Some teachers are very egoistic if you mess with them.

Our college provides the best infrastructure and overall it is a good college.
Dayanand Sagar placements: Almost every student from CSE gets placed. 22 LPA max and 3.2lpa min and 7.5 LPA average for CSE offered. 78% of students get internships and the rest prepare for higher studies. ORACLE, IBM, Goldmann Sachs, L&T, Deshaw, and many more top companies visit our college for recruitment.
Dayanand Sagar infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is one of the best in Bangalore. The part which I like the most is the library. It is quite large and very good. Buildings are also very good on the whole campus. The NRI hostel is like a hotel and is too good. There is a playground, a basketball court, a tennis court, etc. The labs are very good, and the classrooms are very spacious.
Dayanand Sagar faculty: Teachers in our college are very qualified and easy to understand. But a few teachers don’t know how to teach as is the case with every college. Many teachers are holding a doctorate degree, and some are from IITs. Everyone is very knowledgeable and is available anytime for any doubts.

Dayananda Sagar Institution as a whole is a very good and reputed institution. They provide quality education and in terms of academics, it's pretty good. I did me BE in DSATM which is also a very good one. You need not worry about placements because it all happens under one roof-DSI. Maintain a good percentage and knowledge in your stream and you will surely be placed in any one of the top MNCs. All the best.
The majority of students got placed in our course. CSE/ISE branch students get placed easily, and the average salary package offered ranges between 7 LPA-9 LPA for these two departments. The average salary package offered is 6 LPA, and the highest salary package offered this year is 33 LPA.
Personally, DSU is a good to pursue Btech. Coming from a mechanical background, the faculty are very supportive and approachable. The labs provide a great learning experience as well. Overall, it is academically good.
Your rank will be 19k+ (minimum) if you receive 95 marks, hence you won’t get CSE in Dayananda Sagar College in the first round or even the second round with this score.
Dayanand Sagar is one of Bangalore’s most prestigious and well-known colleges. Every year, between 70 and 100 firms apply for placements.
Placements: Our seniors said that 80% of the students got placed in college. The average salary package offered was 7 LPA, and the highest salary package offered was 25 LPA. The lowest salary package offered was 5 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Accenture, DXC Technology India Pvt Ltd, and Infosys.
I am amazed by the fact that how can one single organisation be so resourceful. They helped me from the beginning till the end. 9 faced a lot of problems hurdles as they say it, but they had a solution for them all. I dont just appreciate the guidance they provide but also the suggestions they give during this transition. I am really more than thankful to the team for making everything so easy for me. May God bless them
My association with Mr Kanhaiya Agarwal, the founder of Formfees, a niche start-up in education space, goes back to school days. Kanhaiya and I were school friends and I have watched him closely during his evolution from a young charming boy to a hard core entrepeneur. During my preparation for management entrance exams, Kanhaiya and his team at Formfees helped me immensely in finalizing the startegy and fine tuning the execution. It is because of he and his team that I have been able to secure my dream seat at XLRI. I wish Formfees all the best for all its future endeavours.
When I Coming to know about 'Formfees', I saw in it an opportunity to keen aside all the queries regarding application processes with the Formfees team which is home to proper & correct information for all B School entrances along with that they also help me a lot with my GD PI preparations which made my way my dream College IIM AHMEDABAD to KUDOS to Kanhaiya Sir & Formfees.
