So, the AICTE directed the PGDM/MBA colleges to offer direct admission in 2022 on the basis of academic scores

Required Documents for Direct MBA Admission Process: Eligibility Criteria

  • You must be a graduate or should be in the final year of graduation in any discipline preferably with at least 50% marks.
  • Merit will be prepared on your graduation Marks for Direct Admission to MBA Colleges without an Entrance Exam
  • If you have some work experience between 1-3 years, you will be a preferred candidate
  • If you are an achiever in sports at State or National level or have excelled in extracurricular activities it will add value to your eligibility for Direct MBA admission.

Selection Process for Direct MBA admission

  • Register at the MBA college website and Fill up the Application form.
  • Submit the Application with the requisite Application Fee.
  • Keep all the required documents as stated on the application fees i.e your class X, XII, and graduation mark sheets, and certificates (if applicable) with copies.
  • On receiving a call from the respective MBA college, attend GD-PI-WAT as required.
  • On receiving the final admission offer, pay the acceptance fee.

Guidelines issued by AICTE for Direct MBA Admission 2021

AICTE has issued a circular on September 29, 2021, to all the PGDM/MBA colleges in India to offer direct admission in case the respective MBA entrance exam could not be conducted due to the pandemic.

Direct admission in MBA colleges through Management Quota:

There are various MBA colleges that provide direct admissions through Management Quota, In Maharashtra, there are Institute level seats. You may get direct admission to top MBA colleges through Management quota or Institute level quota seats with Management quota in Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and other states. But in most of these colleges offer Direct Admission to an MBA without donation, although the admission fee may be a bit higher.

Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Maharashtra has clarified that 20% of institute-level seats can be offered through Management Quota. The instructions issued by DTE for MBA admission through Management quota seats or Institute level seats are that the Director/Principal of the respective Un-aided Management institute shall invite applications for the seats available by giving publicity in at least two newspapers and on the website of the Institute.

Information brochure/prospectus of the Institute, which specifies the rules of admission, is published well before the commencement of the process of admission for the Institute Level/Minority Seats. Eligible Candidates fulfilling the eligibility criteria can apply directly to the Director/Principal of the respective institute for admission. Similar admission opportunities also exist in Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and other states. All the required information in the brochure is also displayed on the Institute’s website, for MBA admission through Management quota seats.
