What is the CAT Exam?
In several cities, the Common Admission Test (CAT) is conducted in Computer Based Test mode on the last Sunday of November. Three sessions were held this year for the CAT exam. There was a total of 120 minutes allotted to the candidates. There was a 40-minute time limit for each section.
CAT Exam is one of the toughest exam due to the competition which increases and so is the participating candidates. CAT is one of the most important management entrance exams in India.

Is sectional Cut off important in CAT?
There is no doubt that sectional cutoffs are important in the CAT. It is a prerequisite of admission criteria for top B-schools to meet their sectional CAT cutoffs. Regardless of a candidate's overall CAT score, if they do not meet the minimum cutoff in any section, they will not qualify for admission to IIMs. In order to gain admission to top-tier management programs, candidates must achieve the sectional cutoffs.
