The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) conducts an annual joint entrance exam for admission to various management programs it offers. 

Through CAT 2023, candidates can enroll in graduate management programs and management scholarship programs. 

The admission procedure consists of a written test, a group discussion, and a personal interview. The process can vary from IIM to IIM. The registration form for the CAT 2023 exam is expected to be published in the second week of August 2023. 

Candidates must ensure their eligibility criteria before registering for the exam. The exam is taken in online mode and candidates have a total of 3 hours to complete the test. Candidates may also apply to other B schools based on their CAT scores.

CAT 2023

The authority only considers online applications for submission. The authority will not issue any printed forms in this regard. Applicants must have a valid email address and phone number.

The institutes will communicate with you in this way in the future. The mere appearance in the examination or the fulfillment of the eligibility criteria is not part of the selection of the candidates. 

Applicants receive application letters directly from the IIMs. The selection criteria for each IMM may vary accordingly. 

The Common Admission Test or CAT is a national gateway for admission to MBA/PGDM courses at universities across the country.

It is one of the largest and most difficult tests for MBA/PGDM and about 240,000 students take this test every year. The test is held in nearly 156 cities across the country. 

It is the test through which one can get admission in Universities like IIM's, DOMS IIT, FMS Delhi, SP Jain, MDI Gurgaon, IMT Ghaziabad, IISc Bangalore, etc.

This is a computer-based test and is administered annually. It is preferably held on Sundays in November. The duration is 3 hours. Time is divided into sections, ie one hour for each section.

Correct mistakes in verbs, nouns, pronouns, adjectives, adverbs, and other parts of speech in sentences Correct the sentence order in articles, such as vocabulary, to select the correct word pair. CAT Syllabus 2023 (VARC, DILR & Quantitative Aptitude/QA) for the IIM MBA exam on November 2, 2022, at 18:15 

The CAT IIM Syllabus 2023 is very broad. However, it can still be roughly broken down into three main sections: 

  • Language Skills and Reading Comprehension (VARC), 
  • Data Interpretation and Reasoning (DILR), and 
  • Quantitative Adequacy (QA).

Although the CAT MBA 2023 syllabus contains questions based on the 9th and 10th-grade syllabuses, the level of the questions is slightly higher. 

CAT Mock Test 2023 also includes questions based on curriculum topics. CAT Verbal Ability Paper Pattern 2023 This section typically has 8-10 similarly weighted questions. All questions are not MCQ-based questions and therefore do not contain negative ratings.

This section of the CAT 2023 syllabus typically contains parallels, odd sentences, vocabulary, and summary questions. There is no negative rating as this is a non-MCQ-based question. It gives 4-5 out-of-order sentences that refer to the same context.

Students must find the correct order of the sentences and arrange them to form a meaningful paragraph. 

Summary Questions: These are short passages of around 80 to 100 words along with four options. From the four options, students must find the summary that best fits the passage. Questions about odd sentences:

A paragraph is provided along with some options from which candidates must determine which sentence does not fit the topic of the passage. 

CAT MBA Syllabus 2023 Reading Comprehension Test Pattern 

The number of questions in this section can range from 24 to 28 questions. These questions have a negative score of -1 because all the questions in this question are based on MCQ. 

You also have at least four long passage questions of approximately 900 words and one short passage question of approximately 500 words.

CAT Syllabus 2023: Sample Data Interpretation Exam 

CAT Syllabus 2023 contains approximately 14 questions from the Data Interpretation sections. The questions in this section can be both MCQ-based and non-MCQ-based questions. 

MCQ-based questions may vary from paper to paper. These questions are of medium to high difficulty, so candidates need a lot of practice to answer them.

There is no negative grading for non-MCQ-based questions, however, points will be deducted for incorrect answers to MCQ questions.

CAT Syllabus 2023 - Logical Reasoning Paper Pattern 

Approximately 10 questions will be taken from the Logical Reasoning section of the CAT IIM Syllabus included will be 2023. 

This section also includes MCQ and non-MCQ questions. There is no negative score for non-MCQ questions, but there is a negative score for MCQ questions,

These questions are also of medium to high difficulty and can be very tricky and time-consuming at times. 

CAT 2023 Syllabus: Quantitative Aptitude

Answers. Based on last year's trends, the CAT cutoff for qualification is expected to be 80 for the general category, 75 for NC-OBC, 70 for SC/PwD, and 60 for ST. However, the final CAT limit for MBA admissions at IIM Ahmedabad is expected to be above the 99th percentile.
