Ans. For UG prospective it doesn’t, but for PG it surely will. Get an MBBS from any college recognised by mci in India, MBBS from Every college in India, be it a private or government is more or less same, but for PG clinical exposure is more important so, by the point of doctor vs patients ratio government colleges are by par the best.

Q7. What are the things that I should keep in mind if I am starting my career in MBBS as a hostel student?

Ans. Living in a hostel is a totally different ball game and there are too many variations to generalize. I spent my MBBS years in a hostel so just some tips based on my experience.
Don’t choose your best friend to be your roommate. This has a great potential to screw up your friendship.
Discuss right up front and set personal spaces and boundaries with your roommate.
Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
Engage and be friendly with as many people as you can. Treat your seniors with respect.
MBBS usually involves a lot of late night studying – but not all students are night owls. Keep a night lamp handy in case your roommate is someone who can’t stay up late and can’t sleep with the lights on ( like me lol).
Enjoy your Independence and use the experience to strengthen your personality.

Q8. What are best career options for one who has not been selected in MBBS entrance?

Ans. You have lots of option. You can try form some other entrance examinations. Many of the private universities also offering MBBS program which are quiet good. Apart from this you have options like BDS, BHMS, BUMS, BAMS, B.Pharma, Biotechnology, Biomedical Engineering, Bioinformatics, Medical Microbiology, Bachelor of Physiotherapy, Environmental Science, Nanotechnology, Clinical Research, Psychology, Counsellor, Agriculture Science, Veterinary Science, etc.

Q9. What is a career in psychiatry after MBBS?

Ans. In my view, the role of a psychiatrist in our country is increasing day by day. The number of medical colleges is also increasing rapidly. There are so many corporate hospitals. Hence the demand for psychiatrists is very good. But don’t go as per demand. It is you who should have a real interest to be a psychiatrist.

Q10. What are the different career options after an MBBS? What is the scope?

Ans. You can opt for post-graduation MD/MS/DNB by sitting for neet. You could apply for USMLE exams. You can also prepare for an MBA ( one of my seniors got into IIM A ) or civil service exams ( one of my classmates is pursuing IPS ). You can also pursue research after MBBS (research would be better in the USA ). You can also do MSc in non-clinical subjects. Or you can open your clinic and practice after completing MBBS.
