The government of India’s Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers has established the National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, Guwahati. of India. In a Parliamentary Act, the Government of India declared the institute an institution of national importance. Since September 2008, it has been in operation. UGC has approved the institute as an autonomous entity.

This is the fifth institution that holds the status of NIPER – the National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER), Guwahati. The institute is one of the seven NIPER units in India. Minister of Chemical and Fertilizers of the Union inaugurates the event.
