MIT World Peace University features two separate buildings for female students, one in the MIT School/Hostel campus near the MIT boys hostel, with a capacity of 300 female students, and the other in the MIT College Campus, with a capacity of 175 female students. During the first year, students are assigned to hostels based solely on merit. International pupils are given preferential treatment.
Table Tennis, Carrom, and Wrestling are all available at MIT World Peace University. This college’s students have competed and won several awards at the Inter-Collegiate, University, State, and National levels. MIT Pune has successfully organised a number of sports tournaments such as the Inter-Engineering Athletic Meet, Cricket, Basketball, Volleyball, Table Tennis tournaments, Zonal level Boxing, Badminton, Chess tournaments, and Inter-Professional College Volleyball, Basketball tournaments, among others.
The MIT-WPU canteen offers a broad range of cuisines to suit everyone’s preferences. The college Mess is large and includes a dining hall and a kitchen. Apart from nourishing north and south Indian breakfast, lunch, and supper, the cafeteria also provides delectable Chinese cuisine. Tea, coffee, and soft beverages, as well as snacks, are offered. Everything is decently priced.
A branch of the ‘Sangli Bank Ltd.’ and a branch of the ‘Bank of India’ are accessible, as is an ATM centre with all the essential amenities on the college grounds. This also makes it easier for students to conduct crucial financial transactions such as cash withdrawals and check deposits. The on-campus banks also provide the Western Union Money Transfer service, which is the quickest method to receive money from overseas.
The library of MIT World Peace University contains 75000 books, including around 70000 technical books. The library subscribes to 175 titles, 12 of which are foreign titles, as well as 15 newspapers and 10 magazines, which are made available in the reading room to students and employees. In addition, the library has a separate stock of around 2100 CDs. IEEE, IEEE, IEEE, Springer, ELSEVIER (Science Direct), ASTM Digital Library Online, and EBSCO are also subscribed to by the library.
The institution has a well-equipped gymnasium measuring 1500 square feet.
MIT has fully equipped dispensaries staffed by doctors. Throughout the academic year, regular medical check-ups and campaigns are organised for all students and faculty members at no cost.
MIT has a Meditation Temple that is situated in a suitable and natural setting.
I am amazed by the fact that how can one single organisation be so resourceful. They helped me from the beginning till the end. 9 faced a lot of problems hurdles as they say it, but they had a solution for them all. I dont just appreciate the guidance they provide but also the suggestions they give during this transition. I am really more than thankful to the team for making everything so easy for me. My association with Mr Kanhaiya Agarwal, the founder of Formfees, a niche start-up in education space, goes back to school days. Kanhaiya and I were school friends and I have watched him closely during his evolution from a young charming boy to a hard core entrepeneur.
