Gitam University Introduction

The Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management was founded in 1980 by a group of prominent intellectuals and professionals, under the direction of Dr. M. V. V. S. Murthi, a well-known philanthropist and former member of parliament. Their aim is to realize Mohan Das Karamchand Gandhi's vision of a higher education institution that breaks through all barriers.It was formerly called GITAM College. UGC has given its approval to GITAM. In 2007, the designation of "deemed to be university" was given to it.
