The Indian IT and consulting company Wipro Limited declared its interim dividend of ₹6 per share on 17 Jan 2025. The dividend of any company is the reward for the investors who have invested in the business and signals the strong performance of the company. 

With the interim dividend announcement, the company has set the record date of the dividend on 28 Jan 2025, meaning the shareholders registered in the company’s book on the record date will be eligible for this interim dividend. To date, the company has announced 35 dividends. 

So, as per the Indian stock market T+1 settlement system, the investors who wish to receive the dividend payout should have bought the shares before the record date. Now, Wipro shares turned to ex-dividend yesterday, before the Wipro stock was traded at a lower price on Tata Consultancy Services Ltd due to margin profile, consulting business, lower growth, and lower dividend payout.

The Wipro Investors who were registered in the company’s book as stakeholders would be eligible for the upcoming dividend. According to the Wipro board of directors meeting, the stakeholders will receive the dividend payout on or before 15 February 2025. 

The company has declared the 300% dividend payment on each stock of stakeholders, which means the stakeholders will receive ₹6 per share interim dividend of par value of ₹2 each to Company members as of the record date.
