From December 6 to December 22, the University Grants Commission’s December session of the National Eligibility Test (UGC NET 2023) will be held. On the official website, ugcnet.nta.nic.in, the UGC NET 2023 online application process has already started. The exam for granting “Assistant Professor” and “Junior Research Fellowship (JRF)” eligibility certificates will be held by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
The UGC NET Dec application form must be submitted by October 28 at 5 PM. At various testing locations around the nation, the exam will be given for 83 topics. Exam City will be terrorised by the testing agency in the final week of November. The preceding term saw the addition of two new subjects: Hindu Studies and the Indian Knowledge System.
UGC NET 2023 Curriculum
The UGC NET 2023 will consist of two papers: paper 1 will include questions on teaching and research, while paper 2 will have questions that are specific to a given subject.
The 2023 UGC NET Paper 1 Syllabus
The candidate’s capacity to teach and do research is examined in this area. It evaluates applicants’ cognitive skills, broad knowledge of how higher education teaching and learning work, as well as their understanding of social interaction and the environment.
The Second half of the UGC NET Paper 2
Syllabus will have questions from the topic that applicants choose from the list of 83 disciplines. It gauges the applicant’s depth of understanding and level of experience in the relevant field.
In all, 6,39,069 applicants took the UGC NET test last year. The NTA had declared that the UGC NET examinations for June 2024 would take place from June 10 to 21. According to UGC rules, 6% of applicants who show up for both exams and receive the minimum qualifying marks in the combined score for both exams are deemed qualified.
About UGC NET
The Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Assistant Professor positions in Indian universities and colleges are filled by candidates who have passed the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) or NTA UGC NET, a national exam. There will be 83 different courses included in the UGC NET 2023 test. The NTA UGC NET exam was offered for 83 subjects until 2021. The 83 courses covered by the UGC NET syllabus 2023 are all different and are set out by the University Grants Commission. The NET test was administered by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on behalf of UGC till June 2018. But starting in December 2018, the National Testing Agency (NTA) began administering the UGC NET.
