NBEMS 2023: Registration Begins for Diploma Final Theory Exam; Exam Scheduled for December 15

The application procedure for the NBEMS diploma final theoretical exams has begun, according to the National Board of Examinations Medical Science (NBEMS). From 3 PM today, the registration link for the 2023 NBEMS diploma final exam will be up on the official website, natboard.edu.in. A NBEMS Diploma qualification in the relevant fields is awarded after passing the NBEMS Diploma Final exam.
The tests will be administered on December 15, 16, and 17 at various testing locations around the nation, in accordance with the timetable. October 25 marks the deadline for diploma theoretical test applications.
Exam for the NBEMS Diploma Theory: Eligibility
- The deadline for completing NBEMS Diploma Training in order to be eligible for the NBEMS Diploma Final Examination, which will be held in December 2023, is June 30, 2024.
- Candidates must have enrolled as NBEMS Diploma trainees with the board.
- The National Medical Commission (NMC) should accept their MBBS degree.
- Candidates who have completed their NBEMS Diploma training must submit a Final Training Completion Certificate (FTCC) in order to sit for the NBEMS Diploma Final Examination.
- Candidates who have completed their diploma programme must submit a Provisional programme Completion Certificate (PTCC) in the manner specified by the board.
Documents needed at the testing location:
- Admit Card with the image attached.
- Original, current ID required (must not be expired): PAN card, driver’s licence, voter ID, passport, or Aadhar card (with photo).
Exam Format for the NBEMS Diploma Final Exam
The NBEMS Diploma Final exam consists of two stages: a theory test and a practical exam in theory Only those applicants will be allowed to take the practical test if they pass the theoretical exam. Candidates who do not pass the written exam are permitted to retake the theory examinations. However, students will only have three chances to pass the practical test.
- There are three exams in the theoretical exam, each worth up to 300 points.
- Each paper consists of 10 brief remarks worth 10 points each.
- In various disciplines, the quantity of brief notes and their associated marks may differ.
- To pass the theoretical test, candidates must have an overall score of at least 150 on all three papers.
- Only applicants who fall within the zone of consideration, or who receive between 144 and 149 out of 300, will be offered grace marks of up to 2% of the maximum marks, or 6/300, the board stated.
Practical Exam
- Additionally worth 300 points is the NBE Diploma practical test. It consists of the OSCE, the Clinical Examination, and the Viva.
- The practical test does not provide for grace marks, in contrast to the theory paper.
Dates for the 2023 NBEMS Diploma Theory Exam
The tests will be given for three hours between 2:00 and 5:00. The timetable for the diploma theoretical test is shown below.
