Who Can Apply for JEE Advanced 2025?
1. Top 2.5 Lakh JEE Main 2025 Rank Holders
Only the top 2,50,000 candidates (across all categories) in JEE Main 2025 Paper 1 are eligible for JEE Advanced 2025.
Category-wise reservation in top 2.5 lakh:

2. Age Limit
- Candidates must be born on or after October 1, 2000.
- SC/ST/PwD candidates get a 5-year age relaxation (i.e., born on or after October 1, 1995).
3. Attempt Limit
- A candidate can attempt JEE Advanced only twice in two consecutive years.
So, if you appeared in 2024, 2025 is your last chance.
4. Qualifying Exam
You must have passed Class 12 or equivalent exam in:
- 2024 or
- 2025
If you passed Class 12 in 2023 or earlier, you are not eligible (even if you didn’t appear for JEE Advanced before).
5. IIT Admissions Restriction
You are not eligible for JEE Advanced 2025 if:
- You were admitted to any IIT earlier (even if you didn’t continue).
- Exception: Those who joined an IIT prep course in 2023 and later did not take admission in 2024 are eligible.
Special Note for Foreign Nationals
Foreign candidates do not need to write JEE Main, but they must meet age, academic, and other eligibility requirements specific to JEE Advanced. They apply through a separate process.
