IGNOU July 2023: ODL Registration Deadline Once Again Extended to October 20; Apply Now

The closing deadline for new online Open and Distance Learning (ODL) programmes has once again been extended by the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU). Candidates can register until October 20 to apply for new admission to all ODL programmes, with the exception of certificate programmes, for the July 2023 session.

On the official website, ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in, there is a link for registering for the IGNOU July session in 2023.

The deadline for “Re-registration” for all programmes offered in ODL/Online mode for the July 2023 session has been extended one more till October 20, 2023, the university said. A late charge of Rs 200 will apply. After receiving admissions confirmation, qualified students may also submit an application for scholarships via the National Scholarship Portal at scholarships.gov.in.

IGNOU’s Refunding of Fees

At the time of acceptance, the institution also charges a non-refundable registration fee in addition to the first semester and year’s worth of course fees. According to the university’s refund policy, the whole course price will be repaid if an applicant withdraws their application before receiving notification of admission. In the event that a candidate withdraws their application within 15 days of confirmation, their programme money will be returned, less Rs 500. If the cancellation is reported between 16 to 90 days, a refund would be issued after subtracting Rs 1,000. After 90 days, there will be no refunds given.

Registration for IGNOU in July 2023: Documents

Before completing the application form, candidates should have scanned copies of the following documents on hand.

  1. Image of less than 100 KB
  2. Signature (under 100 KB)
  3. less than 200 KB copy of required educational certification
  4. less than 200 KB, copy of experience certificate if applicable
  5. If SC, ST, or OBC, a copy of the category certificate in less than 200 KB

Important Guidelines for Registration: IGNOU ODL July Session

  1. The applicant’s name and other information must match those on their educational documents.
  2. Only the applicant’s registered email address may be used to log in to the admissions site.
  3. The applicant must use a valid, personal email address.
  4. The candidate must have access to the specified email address and it must be operational throughout the application and admissions processes.
  5. The most recent version of Google Chrome is recommended for use when filling out the application.
