Heavy rains force closure of schools across Delhi, Noida, Gurgaon and Faridabad will remain closed on Monday, July 10, 2023, due to heavy rains. The decision was taken by the respective district administrations in view of the inclement weather conditions and the safety of students.
IMD has forecast moderate to heavy rain in Delhi
The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast moderate to heavy rain in Delhi and its adjoining areas on Monday. The rains have already caused waterlogging in several parts of the city, and there is a risk of further flooding.
It affects over 10 million students
The closure of schools will affect over 10 million students in the four cities. The authorities have advised parents to keep their children indoors and avoid unnecessary travel.
