Assessment Process: How It Works
Gunotsav evaluates schools based on four core areas:
- Scholastic Performance (90% Weightage)
- Focuses on learning outcomes in subjects like Mathematics and Language.
- Co-Curricular Activities (5% Weightage)
- Assesses participation in activities beyond academics that contribute to overall development.
- Community Participation (5% Weightage)
- Evaluates how schools engage with their local communities and encourage parental involvement.
- Infrastructure
- While assessed, it is not included in the final grading.
Exam Format
The evaluation includes OMR-based tests that assess both skills and subject knowledge.
Grading Distribution
Schools are graded as follows based on their performance:
- A+ Grade: Exceptional performance
- A Grade: Good performance
- B Grade: Satisfactory performance
- C Grade: Needs improvement
- D Grade: Unsatisfactory performance
This grading system helps identify strengths and areas for improvement within the education system.
Celebrating Achievements
During the result announcement ceremony held at Srimanta Sankaradeva Kalakshetra, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma recognized the efforts of schools achieving an A+ grade. Notably, 11,594 schools were awarded for their outstanding performance.
Additionally, as part of the Arohan Scheme, tablets were distributed to 4,320 students to support their educational journey.
