Four-year UG Admission Portal Opens in Assam Today

Today, the final round of admissions for four-year undergraduate degrees will be opened by the Directorate of Higher Education, Assam. The official website, directorateofhighereducation.assam.gov.in, will be the place where applicants seeking admission to the state’s numerous UG programmes can submit their applications.

The authority had previously stated that “Colleges offering UG programmes should mandatorily provision all applications for admission to UG programmes in the affiliated Colleges under Gauhati University, Dibrugarh University, and Bodoland University only through the Assam Higher Education Admission Portal without charging any application fee. The same holds true for enrollment in UG programmes provided by other State Universities and Assam’s Autonomous Colleges.

According to the time and date specified by the authority, the merit list will be created by each university and college offering UG programmes and published on their institution’s website.

Between September 16 and September 17, candidates will have the chance to revise, update, and correct their UG application forms. Ranoj Pegu, the minister of education for Assam, said on social media that the “Assam Higher Education Admission portal will be opened today for the final round of admissions into 4-year undergraduate degree courses.”

How to Change Your Profile and Applications You’ve Submitted During the “Correction Window”

All applicants are provided an option to edit their profile and submitted applications through an editing window from 20th June 2023 to 22nd June 2023 till 9 PM. During this window the applicants can login to their profile and make changes to the profile and submitted applications.

Few important things to know before you edit your profile or applications:

• Correction of Profile Information: Applicants may edit several of the data fields they first filled out for their profiles. Candidates must double-check all fields on submitted forms and profiles because changes to some of them may influence their eligibility for admission to a particular college, course, subject, or discipline.
• Class XII or Class X applicants who unintentionally submitted forms to colleges or universities with the wrong subject and mark combinations are advised to double-check the information on each form and submit corrections where necessary before the correction window closes.
• Since the establishment of the online entrance portal, universities and colleges may have updated their policies. The new regulations may have an impact on the number of programmes a university or college offers, topic alternatives within a programme, or major and minor options for a certain degree. Before the correction window closes, applicants are recommended to verify their submissions and confirm by submitting again.
• After the correction window closes, all forms will be evaluated again, and some forms may be denied based on the amended profile fields.
• Applicants who don’t need any changes can bypass the procedure by choosing not to alter their profile or choose a different curriculum.

How to Edit Profile Information

Step 1: Access the admission portal with your registered account.

Step 2: From the Dashboard, select “Edit Profile Details”

Step 3: Review the entire declaration and select “I Agree”

Step 4: The profile is now open for editing. By selecting the “Update” button at the bottom of the form, you can begin modifying the profile.
