Final Round of the UGC Recommendation Prompt for Admission
This additional admissions phase, according to a statement released by DU on Tuesday, is in response to requests from applicants and colleges as well as recommendations from the UGC.
In order to admit students into the pre-identified colleges and courses, the university has decided to hold this mop-up round.
DEADLINE FOR ADMISSION AND SEAT ALLOCATION
It’s important to remember that the application period will be available until October 20, 2023, for this last round of admissions. The institution has made it clear that during this cycle, no admissions would be granted on extra seats.
The Common University Entrance Test (CUET) 2023 results, normalised in accordance with the program-specific eligibility requirements, may be taken into consideration by colleges taking part in this round to fill the open seats. Additionally, universities have the option of allocating any open spots depending on the results of the qualifying exams.

Delhi University’s action gives prospective students one final chance to get admission to the institutions and courses taking part in this mop-up round. For comprehensive information and admissions procedures, applicants are urged to visit the main DU website as well as the websites of the individual colleges.

For UG admission 2023, Delhi University is undertaking mop-up rounds to fill its open seats in a variety of programmes. Due to a variety of factors, including students withdrawing their applications, refusing to take their assigned seats, or failing to satisfy the eligibility requirements, certain seats sometimes remain empty after the usual rounds of admission have been completed.
Students who were unsuccessful in receiving admission in the previous rounds owing to different factors, such as poor scores, have an opportunity to do so in the mop-up round.
