Delhi Government Opens Applications for State Teachers’ Award 2023, Check Eligibility Criteria Here

For the 2023 State Instructors’ Award, the Delhi Directorate of Education is accepting submissions from instructors. On the occasion of Teacher’s Day in 2023, the Delhi government will honour teachers for their contributions. On the official website, edudel.nic.in, eligible teachers may submit their applications for the awards by August 20. This year, 118 prizes are available.

In an official notice, the directorate said, “A great teacher and philosopher, Dr Radha Krishnan’s (former President of India) birthday is celebrated as Teachers’ Day every year on 5th September. It would be a proud privilege to salute and honour the teachers—for their indomitable dedication and remarkable work—who mould the lives and careers of the students with love, devotion, and care.”

The Following are the Requirements to be Eligible to Apply for the Award:

All primary, middle, secondary, and senior secondary school principals, vice principals, HOSs, MCD, NDMC, NDMC-aided, MCD-recognized, un-aided, and DCB teachers who have completed at least 7 years of continuous and regular service as teachers by March 31, 2023, are eligible to apply.

Those Who Retired As Vice Principals, Instructors, or Principals on or After March 31 are Eligible.

Candidates must upload supporting documents.

such as activity reports, field trip reports, photographic evidence, attested copies of the CBSE Gazette for classes 10 and 12, annual results for classes other than 10 and 12, certificates of participation in extracurricular activities, pertinent pages from their service book, inspection reports with ATRs and expense reports, among other things, along with a brief biographical sketch. Additionally, each candidate will make a commitment.

Teachers must submit their applications in the appropriate category for their schools, according to the directorate. Schools in categories A, B, and C are those with enrollments between 1,000 and 2,500 pupils, below 1,000 students, and beyond 2,500 students.
