Bachelor of Vocational studies

The importance of vocational or skill-based education is increasing with each passing year. In India, BVoc (Bachelor of Vocation) is a new course that aims to facilitate candidate development of the skills needed for various trades. In contrast to traditional academic programmes, this course deals more with application-based studies rather than focusing on purely theoretical knowledge.

The Bachelor of Vocational Education course consists of three years of study and can be pursued in many different fields, from medicine and food technology to graphic design and beauty and wellness. The candidate can exit the BVoc program at multiple points during the course and have continued industry exposure. This is the biggest advantage of applying for a BVoc in comparison with a common degree course. Consequently, if a candidate is unable to complete the BVoc course, he/she is still awarded a diploma after successfully completing the first year or an advanced diploma after completing the second year. As a result of the course, candidates gain work experience that increases their prospects of obtaining a job.

Syllabus and Subject

Economics, business, management, finance, aptitude, mathematics, entrepreneurship, and other subjects are included in B.Voc courses. Students enrolled in a Bachelor of Vocational Studies program gain practical and theoretical experience in vocation education through the core and elective classes. In the B.Voc syllabus, you will learn about applied mathematics, applied chemistry, biochemistry, communication skills, physics, power plant engineering, electronics, and instrumentation, energy storage systems, and data analysis and interpretation.

Semester wise syllabus

The subject encompasses several vocational studies concepts that are further divided into several specializations. Among the courses on the curriculum are those relevant to vocational education. A wide range of elective courses provides special skills and knowledge of advanced production techniques. Bachelor of Vocational Studies degrees are available to students who wish to develop their skills. B.Voc courses emphasize recent development in production management.
