The appointments will be initially for a period of three years, extendable as per government rules, and will be governed by the instructions issued by the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT).

SSC Recruitment 2025 Eligibility Details
The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) invites applications for the ex-cadre posts of Accountant and Accounts Officer on deputation basis in various regional offices. Below outlines the post names, educational qualifications, and age limit requirements for the positions:
1. Accountant (Group ‘B’, Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial)
Eligibility Criteria:
- Option 1: Upper Division Clerks (UDCs) of the Central Secretariat Clerical Service (CSCS) with at least 10 years of service and who have completed training in Cash & Account work at the Institute of Secretariat Training & Management (ISTM) or an equivalent institution. Additionally, candidates must possess at least 1 year of experience in Cash, Accounts, and Budget work.
- Option 2: Officers holding analogous posts or SAS/Accounts passed clerks from any Organized Accounts Department.
- Age Limit:
The maximum age limit for deputation is 56 years as of the closing date of receipt of applications.
2. Accounts Officer (Group ‘B’, Non-Gazetted)
Eligibility Criteria:
- Option 1: Officers holding analogous posts on a regular basis in their parent cadre/department, or officers with 5 years of service in Pay Level-5 or equivalent in their parent department.
- Option 2: Candidates who have successfully passed the SAS or equivalent examination conducted by an Organized Accounts Department, or have completed training in Cash & Accounts work at ISTM or an equivalent institution, with at least 3 years of experience in Cash, Accounts, and Budget work.
- Age Limit:
The maximum age limit for deputation is 56 years as of the closing date of receipt of applications.
Staff Selection Commission Recruitment 2025 Selection Process
The selection for the ex-cadre posts of Accountant and Accounts Officer will be made on the basis of deputation, as per the eligibility criteria and requirements mentioned in the official notification.
Shortlisted candidates will be considered based on their qualifications, experience, and eligibility, in line with the guidelines issued by the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT). The final selection will be subject to approval and clearance from the respective departments.
