Again a very proud moment for all the students of IIT Kanpur as IIT Kanpur bags the Best Assisted Technology Initiatives by Educational Institutes award at ATF Awards 2023 for engaging in assistive technology activities presented by Shri. Priyank Kharge, Minister for IT and Government of Karnataka.

Also, Professor Siddhartha Panda and the team from the National Centre for Flexible Electronics received the award for the technologies titled, “Single Refreshable Braille Cell Based Braille Learning Device with a Touch Sensitive” and “Haptic smartwatch for blind and visually impaired”.
The award was jointly awarded by Prof. Siddhartha Panda, Chemical English, and Prof. Braj Bhushan, HSS Dept. Prof. S Ganesh, Dir IITK said that “IITK has been proactively working intending to develop technologies that can create an impact on society in the assistive domain.”

ATF Awards is India’s first and foremost dedicated flagship awareness initiative for the Assistive Technology ecosystem. These ATF Awards are meant to recognize people who use AT to improve the lives of people with disabilities.
